Some startups seen here contain flashing lights.
(wanna jump to a console you know without watching the whole thing? official timestamps are finally here and are in the pinned comment! don't worry, i listened)
hi hello sup
so I've been working on this for months. I looked at my nes m8 footage from another vid I made and it was the best footage of any retro console I've ever captured. that's when I took a look at my console startup vid from 2022. i recorded all of the footage of that vid on my phone. hope satan saves me a spot down there!!!
that's when I decided I wanted to update the whole thing, and with a proper goal this time: to accurately preserve these boot screens and logos for these home consoles, their accessories, and even VHS-based systems like the Action Max! even back in 2022 I knew I wanted to blow those other console startup vids outta the water. it sorta worked. there were some problems like audio latency and uneven pixels. ew.
I really hope this becomes the definitive collection of console boot screens captured and uploaded to yt. I actually worked kinda hard on a project like this. hope u enjoy!
huge credit to everyone that recorded some of the footage shown here!

Thank you, thank you, thank you. This is probably one of the only accurate videos of this type on UA-cam. That, and you also preserved the quality too. I can tell for most of these you sought pixel perfect cleaness.
Watching This video of the evolution of game console startup Puts me to sleep, such a relaxing video 😌
We're just finding a bucketload of new start ups. I didn't even know there was a protorype logo for the Amiga CD32.

Nice! I just watched the old version and now I watch this!

This is a very comprehensive list and I like watching it for the preservative value. It's been in my Liked list for weeks by this point.
Only today have I realised that there are subtitles. And the comments that occasionally come up are completely busting me up. The CDi ones are my favourites because there is a lot of time between the two clips in which a very stupid joke was planted and allowed to sprout.
We're dealing with an expert.
@@Noxedwin ayyy thanks!!! ❤️
The best thing about this is all of the nostalgia this brings back to me. I actually played on the Wii when I was younger, it brings me a lot of nostalgia to hear the startup! Thanks man! ❤

Excellent work! Probably the best I've seen ever.
Best 80s startup: Sega Master System (never played any Sega consoles but wow, those old Sega startups are groovy!)
Best 90s startup: PS1 (pure nostalgia and bliss!)

Best modern era startup: Retroid Pocket 2+ (giving me that GBA nostalgia!)

Nice! 👍
The Socrates hardware had some FM-ish sound and synthesized speech included. I'm guessing that the footage is from the emulator, the FM and speech cannot be emulated.
@retrojamm07 yeah. mame did say the emulation wasn't accurate, but it was the best i could do. here's hoping for more emulation improvements in the future.
...i say about an educational console lmao
@@Vin917 it happens, nothing is perfect. Im guessing the FM and speech isn't on real hardware for the German version too. 🤷♂️

nintendo switch startup is 100% pure awful. just a red screen with fruity lame music.....PS2 is by far the greatest startup to ever exist = truly out of this world. GameCube 2nd best
well the thing is
the lil switch animation only shows up at first boot. the actual startup is 10x worse!!!!! yippeee!!!!!!!
i love a plain nintendo logo in a black void with no music whatsoever!!!!!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
even xbox cooked more than nintendo lmaooooo
