Theory:
So obviously Ashley is the one who Witt has the most personal relationship with. She is on the box label and she jams him up when she is on the line. (Also the car and those colors give me serious “Into Your Arms” vibes so maybe there’s a video/story connection.) Finally, when he has the usual line of girls, a very “Tinder-ish” vibe is there, swipe right, green color, etc. He goes on all these dates either with Ashley in mind but never feels the same connection with these matches as he did with her. He changes his personality with them hence him wearing all the different colors (again maybe another meaning for such specific colors like the drink or clothes). All in all, he’s hurt that Ashley is gone and at the end, she COMES BACK to him and he has to decide whether to take her back.

I'm analyzing the color symbolism in this. There's a lot hidden that I've found. At 0:16 the walls when he's driving are yellow which means optimism and cheerful for the positive side. The negative side of yellow is being a coward, getting criticized and being impatient. Everyone at 1:10 is wearing white. White symbolizes perfection and being complete. He felt complete with Ashley. Even the ceiling is white. Why is the girl in the back only with red hair? Red means anger, tiring, ruthless and fearful and more. Okay so now, at 2:18 the girl is yelling at him and did you guys notice on the table that the candle is white and they are eating oranges? The color orange means pessimistic and also over-bearing. 2:21 everything is white. Even the glass looks to have milk in it. Sexual desire has to do with red too. There's a red apple on the table which can symbolize love and evil. Look at 3:06. The lights turn blue. That can mean emotionally unstable because he's talking about how fucking hard it is. Exactly at 3:39 the lights turn green super fast and switch. Look closely because it's hard to see because it's so fast. Green means to persevere and many other positive things. He is going on with his life and career.

Here is my theory (Video Wise) : So basically you can tell he's representing tinder with the women and swiping left and right. He only swipes on the "A's", basically the first letter of Ashley's first name. None of the date's work out, because it doesn't feel right to him. Then he returns back to the swiping on tinder, finding someone with the name Ashley, (this part has me on two ends) he either found someone with the name Ashley and doesn't know what to do, because of basically the fate that happened with the old Ashley and them breaking up or just for the fact her name is Ashley and he is nervous just all in all. I have a friend who has gone through literally hell and back between cancer and an abusive dad and his girlfriend cheating on him while he was going through treatment, as well as the constant unbearable pain he goes through each day (without any painkillers at all) as a result of chemo. He is the strongest person I know because he is so optimistic when his whole entire life is negativity. He is really inspired by you and he's working on recording some songs now, and is going with the rap persona Vinyl Rogers. He hasn't released anything yet but he will soon. Also, I know its hard to deal with stuff like this and I know its even harder to put something this personal for all the world to see. This song means a lot to me. I went through a breakup of someone I was with for almost 5 years. She cheated and left me for him. I discovered this song shortly after. Being able to find solace and listen to a song that perfectly describes the emotions and pain that I felt when going through the same thing helped me find peace. Made me feel less alone at a time when I had never felt more alone. Thank you Witt for creating this masterpiece of a song and being very relatable and honest with the lyrics. People that have gone through it understand and relate to every lyric. For the people reading that have are here because you’re going through a breakup, just remember that it does get better. Take it day by day. Focus on your goals and keep in mind that it will get better, even if it seems like it never will. I almost took my life over it and I now realize that that would’ve been a horrible decision. I’m glad I didn’t. You will heal and come out of it a better and stronger person.
