Dr Bill continues to share his stories of recovery and hope. Each session with Dr Bill focuses on a different DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual) mental health disorder where he has personally witnessed people experience real change.
‘Anxiety is an alarm system that lets us know that we are using thought in an unhealthy way.
However if we continue to activate the stress system with Chronic Mental Stress (CMS), we will predictably experience
- Anxiety then
- Panic Attacks then
- Obsessive Compulsive Rituals, OCD (in an effort to lessen the self created anxiety) then
- Dissociative episode - losing awareness for periods of time and at the extreme creating different personalities in order to divvy up the pain which would other wise be overwhelming’.
We explore how anxiety works and if you suffer from it, how there can hope for real change.
Dr William F Pettit Jr M.D. (now retired) is an esteemed Medical Health Pioneer.
He has held multiple Senior Academic posts in the US Navy, US Colleges and Universities and was previously board certified in Psychiatry, Adolescent Psychiatry, Geriatric Psychiatry, and Psychosomatic Medicine. Dr. Pettit has presented the Principles of Mind, Thought and Consciousness as the essence of his psychiatric practice since 1983. He was certified by Sydney Banks.
He is a recognised educator in the Three Principles Intervention, an in-demand Speaker and is working on his first book. Never Broken: Nothing Lacking.
The LIVE show format is an hour and includes:
- A simple introduction to the speaker and the topic
- A short introduction to how the mind really works relating to the topic
- Stories of Real Change as they relate to the topic
- An open Q&A - Approx 15 mins at the end
