I love Dr pettits talks. They are so moving and full of love. I came into this understanding in 2018 while suffering from a binge eating and food/body thoughts and anxiety. The 3ps have changed my life forever. I am now a 3 ps practitioner apprentice and dream to teach this to others professionally someday.

Dear Bill thank you so much for this offering. I'm seeing a consultant to investigate some distress I've been experiencing here. Thank for pointing me back to the lens through which this experience is created. God bless you. Perhaps I can find a 3p practicioner here in the Netherlands.

Interesting fact about the amount of neurons in the stomach. Bill says that there are 2.5 times more neurons in stomach than there is in the brain. I couldn’t find a source of that. Most says that the stomach contains more than 100 million neurons, which is not more than in the brain.

Bill is pretty amazing particularly for a psychiatrist. I'm a 62 year old victim of horrendous childhood abuse. Here in the UK not one psychiatrist, psychologist at any CMHT has ever recognised it! All they ever said was nothing! just look in the DSM and prescribe SSRI's! It took 5 years of seeing a counsellor that listened and understood my situation that I came to realise what has been 'wrong' with me. One psychiatrist here seemed aware of the effects of childhood abuse and that SSRI's and the like wouldn't help, she also wrote a report for me with the diagnosis of CPTSD, but she was leaving. So she referred me to a 'psychotherapist' for long term trauma therapy. His title is 'Consultant adult psychiatrist and medical psychotherapist'. I had several 'consultations' with him. First off he didn't believe in Complex PTSD he said it was a 'personality disorder', I said so you're saying my personality is 'out of order'? Who has the 'in order' personality that all personalities are measured from? He said 'you're very forthright' - I said I'm a realist! He said to the local psychiatrist that I need to be on Aripiprazole, quetiapine as well as Mirtazapine before he would 'treat' me. What a cocktail! I said that this is blackmail and refused to take any of these toxic drugs. (the odd ones I did try made me ill) Funnily enough I heard no more from him! Psychiatry in the UK is still archaic! We need more Bill Pettit's in this country!

Thank you for sharing this. I love the comparison of what happens in current treatments, based on current lack of understanding of the principles. and the data showing how affect it is, so isn't;t , that Dr Pettit shares in these videos. His ability to communicate the principles while educating us with feelings of compassion and clarity of his message, is deeply appreciated. These videos give me hope, in the treatment of those who suffer.

When my grandpa, who was very sharp minded, healthy and vital in his 90s, on his 90th bday (now 10 years ago) was asked a question "what's your secret?" ....he said exact same as 120 years old man "well it's simple, I am never angry"...for 10 years I had known there is something very important in what he said, but could not get what until this video ❤❤❤ My gandpa survived wars and Soviet occupation, so had plenty of reasons to be bitter, but instead he stuck to his faith.

Big thank you to Dr Bill Pettit, it is the world's fortune to have someone like you who had a few decades worth of psychology treatment experiences using the three principles. Imagine if more psychologists are using this paradigm in theraphy practice, so many lives would be totally different! Really thank you. And thank you Real Change Portal for holding these webinars. I love the whole series!

Sometimes you are constantly dragged out of the present moment in a way that makes it obviously suggests a subconscious trauma. But in my case ( for 40 years) I cannot identify a particular event, there habe been so many. Maybe that doesn't matter.

Having been diagnosed with Schizophrenia I watched this webinar with interest. Dr. Pettit clearly has a wealth of experience. He talks with integrity and has a way of measuring his words so that everything he says is comprehensible. I found his unscrambling of the psychotic mind, if I can say such a thing, very helpful. Yes, a Delusion is not much different from a Fixed Belief, the only real difference between the two is a thin line somewhere in the belief spectrum which a disturbed mind may cross. Anyway, I may watch this again in the future. Thanks, Dr. Bill.
