One of the very few mainstream cars you could buy with a standard-fit, factory supercharger and one of the best looking Mercs ever penned.
Yep agree
@@KyleLiongCars hi Sir i saw 2012 model and selling for about 850k php..can u tell me is that a good price? 2nd if compare to camry 2014 model which is better is't camry 2014/2015 or this MB c200 2012 model..thank you in advance
I can’t say if it’s a good price. Condition is the most important thing. If it’s in great shape, 850K is good.
Vs a Camry, the Camry is a bit more forgiving in bumps, and has more space, but has less of a refined and insulated feeling especially on the highway
@@KyleLiongCars ok thanks for response..actually i have 3 choices either BMW 2015 520D, Camry 2013 and this c200 2012 MB
Get the 520D

Thank you
Saw this on fb lol if i had the cash now id buy it right away interior looks really nice and the amg bits 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 nice review man
Thanks man :)
What a nice spec car, only thing I would change are the exhaust tips. But each has his preferences. I would drive this car as a daily for sure.
Thank you :)
I have owned a W204 C200 Kompressor for more than 2 years now and it's a fabulous car, in my opinion it's better than the later turbocharged cars because the power is more evenly spread across the rev range. The performance is more than adequate for this kind of car, and the top speed is far faster than I would ever drive.
These are easy cars to maintain, just be careful to listen for rattle in the timing chain when you first start the engine, you would need to listen to a good one to know what to expect.
Its a comfortable car for driver and front seat passenger, but legroom is a bit limited in the back.
maintenance
Agree with you 100%! The supercharged Kompressor models do a better job of across the band power delivery than the BlueEfficiency models. It’s a great driver’s car with the occasional passenger sitting at the rear. Most people here (including me) are on the shorter side though, plus the fact that Mercedes C Classes are quite pricey here due to luxury taxes, so this car is still often driven by chauffeurs. A brand new base model C Class that’s near poverty spec costs around of $60,000.
Thanks for sharing. What about the maintenance?
They’re generally nothing to worry about, definitely way better than the W203. Prices for parts can be pricey if they do go wrong, but overall, just the timing chain to seriously worry about for me
At What mileage can we expect to change the chain and what would be the estimated cost for the job!?
Hello, how is the fuel consumption in the city?9?10?
Nice reviews man! Keep it up! Subscribed! 💯
Thanks! More to come
Great review. I have a C200 Kompressor (W204) from 2007 and it is still great.
Thanks! Glad yours is doing great
Is that expensive to maintain?
Not that bad
@@anilec333 in Europe (Portugal, where I live) not so expensive. But comparing to my other cars (Mazda and Smart), it is more expensive. It is a choice, and Mercedes is a good one.
good to know, can you tell me what is the fuel consumption like at highway? And also what revs do you get around 130km/h? Thanks
New subscriber and it's me!! Great car and the back and the front looks gorgeous :D Mercedes saved the day

Thank you
Good review! Keep it up

I’ve recently driven this model for 2 mths while the owner went outstation. I thoroughly enjoyed the driving comfort, manoeuvre ability and power. I did notice from the very first drive, the power does not instantly come on after distressing the pedal hard, but that’s fine coz I’m more of a chillax driver now than compared to my previous years driving WRX 2.5.
When the owner returned last week, he was surprised to experience a smoother engine. So I put it into a lot of thought and conclude that his commute from home to work is a short one and probably never got to work the engine enough or to clear carbon deposits. Optimum operating temperature is also crucial before every drive. Overall an excellent ride. Very hard not to love.
If you want the throttle response to be faster, you can press the CS button
@@KyleLiongCars Cool! Thanks! I never got around to switching on that mode 😂 guess I never had the urgency 😂 plus rising fuel prices, never cs mode nor cruise ctrl 😅 I’ll try next time the owner goes outstation! 😁
Nice clear straight to the point review... :)
Thanks! More where that came from
I own a W204 C200 Kompressor with AMG Package both interior and exterior and is such a nice car! Is my daily driver and is a very reliable car. Very beautiful and mean looking car. By the way when you push the auto pilot it switches to speed limit. Is not turning on and off the auto pilot. Is about changing the function!
Thanks für the Review. 👍🏽
My pleasure
Bro, hope you can review w202 C220. Haven’t seen one yet in ph. Thank you!
I’ll try to look for one. Meanwhile, stay tuned as I am already editing the video for a W202 C36 hehe
Hi Kyle , am wondering, what do you said on Minutes 10: 30 ? It doesn't have what that will disappoint? Tried listen a few times, didn't quite get the lines.
Oh haha I said “it doesn’t have a hood star” 😅😅
Goodluck on your venture sa Car Reviews!

I like this review is it comparable to C180 Kompressor 2009 model
Thanks. Yes it’s roughly similar to the C180K with a little more horsepower
Kenyan review...so nice, I'll be heading to Ngong road soon...
This was shot in the Philippines :)
I have a 09 c300 but like you said it slow from the jump due to the electric throttle. So I recently bought a pedal commander to eliminate that lag.
Does it work?
@@KyleLiongCars It sure does, you can set it to open the throttle right up as soon as you hit the gas. You should do a review on it if you ever get one. They also have one for almost all brands of cars that use electric throttles.
What’s the brand you got?
@@KyleLiongCars The name of the brand is “Pedal Commander”
Oooh ayt Imma check them out. Thanks
Hi please for information, does this engine have Dual mass flywheel (DMF)? Tnx.
I think the manuals have it
@@KyleLiongCars Tnx!
No prob
I've bought this car a month ago... I don't know where the trye pressure figures are... Plus I don't know what mpg this done on urban and motorway...can u tell me please?
Check the driving portion of the video. I believe I mentioned the mpg there (for Manila at least). Tire pressure could be found on the B pillar as you even the driver’s door :)
@@KyleLiongCars thanks for replying Carl... I looked on my door Piller it's not there... So I'm really confused???
Is yours an RHD model? Try the other side
Oh you could also check the fuel filler door. It may be there too for some Mercs
@@KyleLiongCars yes mine is rhd model...ok I will check that area today
Nice car, any review on any AMG soon?
Thanks! Not sure if I can get my hands on any, unfortunately. If ever I do though, it will be on top of my list for sure 👌🏻👌🏻
i dont own a mercedes but the 2012 w204 is my next car i want, mercedes is a luxurious car, i drive a 2006 volvo s60 2.5t own it for 5 years now. someday i shall have a mercedes :D
Good call
Thats also my Dream brother the only materialistic Dream on this earth for my self the rest i hope heath being good to people and finally entering heaven with the mercy of God ameen🤲.
My frist car was a pegueot 206 1.4hdi, tho after my begginer licence passed i imediatly got a 2002 C180 kompressor w203. I have to agree even though this car is very very very old people give a lot of respect in traffic.
They really do. It really seems to be a thing with the presence of a three-pointed star haha
Your legit 💯🤘
:)

@@KyleLiongCars alright bruh thanx
Hi is this car suitable for driving 160km/day on highway or will it consume way too much?
It doesn’t really consume that much. The figures I gave are because of are horrible traffic here, but it’s otherwise good for highway driving
@@KyleLiongCars i see thx
It's clean and new
Not new, but clean :D
Sir someone told me this type of engine gives you more problems compare to CGi BI engine ? is that true ? what is the common problems with this type of engine ?
Timing chain failure is a common known issue
@@KyleLiongCars how frequently the timing chain broken ?
Not too sure as mine never did
Are they cheap now they would be good with an engine swap
Depends where you are. In Manila they go for like 700K PHP
How do you set it in sport?
There’s a button beside the shifter that says C/S. The S there is the sport mode
Dos ist have a Supercharger of a Turbocharger because my Cousin says it is Turbocharged
This Kompressor model is supercharged. The later CGI BlueEfficiency models are turbocharged
@@KyleLiongCars ok thank you
You’re welcome
How much are you selling this beautiful C200? where can I check it?
long sold already, sorry
Are the supercharger reliable?
Mine was working flawlessly 12 years down
Is this a good daily driver still at 2023, interested in one that has 75k odo
Yeah still is
@@KyleLiongCars Happy Holidays!
What would you recommend between c200/accord 8th gen 3.5 v6 / mazda 6 2010 / subaru legacy 2.5t for a daily that's somewhat unique
I'd get a C200 :D
How much does this usually cost if second hand?
500-700K ish
What springs do you have?
Not too sure. Previous owner installed them
This must be the upgraded facelifted version which came on in 2011 and not 2009
Nope this is the pre-facelift.
The facelift came out with more aggressive headlights and bumper and other cool features in the interior.
Good review. Keep up.
Thanks! I will :)
I’m trying to get my hands on a facelift model, and when I do, I’ll be sure to make a video on it as well
But it has the LED foglights and not the rounded foglights as in the pre- facelift.
@@KyleLiongCars pls do..coz the facelifted model is very cool
This or a used 5 series or a used 300c?
5 Series

my mercedes c180 w202 1997 full extra special order got alot more special staff than the new mercedes xD
Nice
I bought one of these
I am fresh collage graduate i just started a job
My father hated the car
He said it's a financial trouble
He said it's not appropriate for someone who is just stood on his foot
I've been driving it for three months now and things is okay so far
...
Is my dad right about this car ???
Having owned a couple of Euros…. hate to break it to you, bro, but he’s absolutely right hahaha! The 204 is generally ok for a Euro car, but yeah when things break (which they will at some point……. Kinda often…), best of luck with maintenance 🥲🥲
@@KyleLiongCars
😂😂😂😂
Thanks man
As always my old man is right
They’re always right haha 🤡🤡
the upkeep is on the expensive side and that benz emblem that we all like to brag to our friends ain't worth shit when you buy it used and breaks down on you often. everyone knows euro cars >1999 decompose on its own even with routine maintenance. buy it brand new and then flaunt it however you want but dispose of it after the 5 year mark or after warranty expires.
great cars hard to fault them
Agree
How much?
Already sold sir
16l/100km is way too much for this car, unless you like to push your car hard driving in city :)
I know for elsewhere in the world that figure is ridiculously low, but given the traffic in Manila, and our small roads, there's really not much to move hahaha! My daily drive to the office is around 12Km and it takes me a solid 1.5 hours :D
@@KyleLiongCars oh, now i see why ;D Nice review by the way.
@@meskiukasz1 Yeah that's the sad reality of living in this traffic hellhole of a city hahaha

@@KyleLiongCars you could go in like a quarter with a moped or bicycle?
Yeah but the heat and humidity is quite unbearable. AC is a must, hence cars only for me

My Experience ... spent thousands fixing stupid and really annoying electrical faults Steering lock solenoid fault on a driving holiday had to have it towed back to a capital city.. Faulty head unit.. quoted $2000 to repair (the radio) this stuff is all proprietary and costs big money to fix.... Sorry would never recommend these cars to anyone...
Are these cars problematic or unreliable be honest ?
Pretty reliable actually
@@KyleLiongCars how many mile do they last average and what regular maintenance is like 💵
Can’t really say cause that really depends on how well the car is maintained. For regular maintenance, an oil change here is around 4K PHP, and speed sensors that often malfunction go anywhere between 3K - 8K each. Not bad
@@KyleLiongCars thanks you for your honesty 🙏
Welcome
16L 100km is huuuuuuuuuuuuuge
Don’t worry. That’s with our road and traffic conditions here in Manila which is crazy. A 14km trip could take 2 hours here :(
@@KyleLiongCars Yes, I live in a similar city, with Renault Twingo 1.2 58 hp, I'm getting 20mpg which is enormous.
@@radepetrovic9182Welcome to highly congested urban jungles :(

@@KyleLiongCars thats an argument, but what about the winters? im used to it and i would never buy a car again without one but i guess germany is a cold country
