This is why I rock with Marz.. He uses more logic in his debates.
And when you use logic, you’ll quickly realize that most of these arguments are not consistent.
People choose based on narratives and who they like. 🤷🏾♂️
Everybody (for the most part) is using “logic”, his is just more consistent and more sensible in this instance.
Yup. It's definitely biased at its finest for sure.
Everybody is not using logic…that’s why he’s able to make better points than them at times.
@@Skillz1997 they are, it’s just not consistent logic or logic that is unsound. For instance, saying “Kevin Durant is the goat because he has 4 scoring titles” is still logic. It’s just bad logic. That’s why the term “logical fallacy” exists.
@@kdsniperr6270The word "illogical" also exists.
I agree with Marz and Gifted. It's because he is small. He’s the second greatest player of his generation but people will do literally anything to not give Steph his flowers and acknowledge his achievements.
it’s weird because I feel Stephen Curry gets a lot of flowers after winning his first fmvp but I think it’s because he exists in the same era as LeBron James, while blowing 3-1 lead which is historical and having KD as his partner rubs people the wrong way. that’s why they say the 4th title is his best title because it removed the narrative that he either got lucky with injuries in a key series or had the stack deck. Either way, he’s top 10 and deserves to be in the greatest PG convo with Magic 🪄 leaving CP3, Nash, Stockton and Isiah in their own tier
Small players don't get credit because of the physicality required to play at a high level. Only soccer and hockey allow smaller players who are really skilled to become the GOAT
@@SkodenMOCbut they give lebron credit with kyrie dwade? Better players skill wise and career wise than kd?…if curry so trash why u mad kd with him? If he not that good shouldn’t matter kyrie over curry lebron over kd it’s even bro..but nah y’all know curry can challenge bron and even mj and Kobe even acknowledge he’ll easily be a top 10 player and he’s light skin and perfect and mf’s hate that shit..cause he too nice n shit y’all just hate
I think 2015-2016 were his biggest years as to being in the conversation as the best player. Ironically enough he did win two back to back MVPs with one being unanimous.
2016 Curry was insane during that season, I remember that was my first year playing fantasy basketball and he went off almost every night for me 😂.
Respectfully no singular player was better than Lebron from 2012-2018. Curry was amazing godly during his MVP run but aside from that year (which is arguable) I don’t see him being the best player in the league
@@donut3475 from 2012 to 2014 KD has a solid case, but at the highest stages he ended up without help despite OKC being great on paper. The 2012 Finals, the 2013 and 14 playoffs. People say Lebron's peak was on the Heat, but it was from 2016 to 2020. I don't see Durant shooting as bad as Lebron in the 2015 Finals - and that was the win condition. The defense was doing its job on the perimeter. At worst, he chokes like in 2016
He was never in that conversation. There was no conversation until Lebron got hurt in 2019.
@@donut3475curry was better than 2016
If you remember anything about that time in 2015/2016 he was most def at minimum in the conversation. Me personally, I don't think he was I think it was LeBron but Steph was definently in the conversation. You can be in the conversation and not be the better player. @@jmoney4220
When it comes to Steph, the goal post will forever be moved. As long as he's 6'3, ppl will always slight him. He was the best in 2016, 2021, 2022 for sure in my book
I just don’t see how people slight him for being “small” guys 6’3 not 5’9. 2016 respectfully to the historic season he had he does not bring to the table what Lebron brings, especially in the finals watching his play drastically change for the worse.
@tonytheg6612 Dog if u notice he gets better every time he's in the Finals. And he's been in alot of those. You act like he didn't cook the Celtics and won a 4th ring last year 😂😂😂
If you want a sport with shorter GOATS, watch soccer instead
@@NuisenceTV his legendary 2016 year he dropped like 8 points average wise and didn’t close out a 3-1 lead, he cooked in 2022 for sure. We talking about being the best in the league and from 2012-2018 it was Lebron James every year easily
@tonytheg6612 Nigga Steph did not average 8 points in the 2016 finals. He averaged 22. Now u just making up shit. And why u limiting from 2012-2018? The question is was Steph EVER considered the Best. And he was. Like I said, 2016, yes. 2021 yes. 2022 most definitely. I stand on that.
If you want padding stats like ppg rpg apg pick anyone else
If you want wins and the most successful player since Mike…you pick Curry
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Curry? 😂 now if kd didn’t go to gsw those 2 rings have more than 5 yrs apart

@@shivumagarwal 😂 he would’ve got outta Miami how he did and brought a ring to a franchise near you
@@Looptroop98 still ran to another man’s team..absolutely pathetic
People will do literally anything to not give Steph his flowers, listen to the loopholes chill has to go through to explain why Steph was never considered the best layer in the world, ridiculous
Three point shooting doesn’t make you the best player.
No he had a legitimate argument. For three of Steph's rings, he was not the best player on the court. Hell for two, he wasn't even the best player on his own team.
Read a book bro their wasn’t any loopholes he made logical sense
@@joshuasutton983Defining Steph as just a three point shooter is nasty 😂😂😂😂

2019 and 2022 curry was the best in the world. I dont think kawhi was better then curry that year
Curry needed klay and Kd to beat Kawhi Fukumean 😅
2022 was Giannis
And yes - Kawhi was better than him that year.
@@RADIOACTIVEYOUTH The Raptors were a better _team_ without Klay and KD on the GSW squad, smooth brain ahh comment.
Moving the goalpost for 6'3 lightskin in underarmour is insane
Steph hate is crazy man … Marz and Gifted thank you for speaking the truth
Steph hate is one of the craziest things I’ve seen and honestly Bro deserves to be in top 5 all time discussions. There’s LITERALLY not one box he hasn’t checked outside of DPOY. Rings,All Stars,MVPs including the only UNANIMOUS, won a ring before, with and after KD, shattered records, and he’s changed the way the game is played today. Steph deserves WAAAAAYYYY more love.
No he doesn’t. Top 10, yes. Top 5, hell no. He’s not competing with Bron, MJ, Duncan, Kareem, or Russell respectfully.
@@DonDeDon445 How is he not ? If Curry was 6’7, it wouldn’t even be questionable
@@YesserSirMrSir he could be 7’1 and he still wouldn’t be top 5. His height has nothing to do with you overrating him.
@@DonDeDon445 You not telling me how he’s overrated tho. What disqualifies him ? Cause it’s not lack of skill or accolades
@@YesserSirMrSir it’s definitely both of those reasons. All 5 of the players I just named were elite on both sides of the ball. You could debate if Bill Russell was an elite offensive player but I think for his time he was elite considering the circumstances. Either way I’d still have Kobe and Larry Bird over him. So that’s 7 people who are objectively better. I’d even argue Shaq too if I’m keeping it a buck. Seems like you threw defense out the window entirely as if that’s not skill. Being DPOY isn’t the only metric to determine who’s elite defensively. Curry at his peak is just an average defender

Kawhi was not better than steph in 2019 finals 😂
Exactly curry was getting triple teamed and got box and 1 played on him and still averaged 31ppg
Yes he was. Steph needed klay and KD to beat Kawhi, a old ass Lowry and a gasoline and an first year starter and all star siakam. No excuses
@@willjohnwick6911 so Kawhi wasn’t getting doubled and tripled all playoffs that season even in the finals and still averaged 30 foh
Curry efficiency was terrible in 2019 finals kd was the best but I’d say since he was injured you have to give it to kawhi
@@RADIOACTIVEYOUTH He was supposed to beat them with Alfonzo McKinnie, Quinn Cook and Jordan Bell? Raptors was stacked with Norman Powell, Pascal Siakam, Fred VanVleet and bunch of great veterans. There's no way you beat them with 1 all star player. The 76ers and the Bucks proved it.
Giannis cant be the best of 2022 when he gave up in game 7 against the Celtics that year. Steph then comes and cleans that very same team up with NOBODY averaging more than 18ppg other than himself. And i dont wanna hear about K Midd being injured because Giannis still had Jrue Holliday who was averaging 21ppg that series and was playing great defense.
20+ points and 20 rebounds is giving up in game 7?
Giannis and KD got beat up by the Celtics.. The refs allowed the Cs to play physical defense against Giannis and KD.. They didn't play the same defense in the Finals

@@smoothsavage2870it was literally him against the ENTIRE Celtics. His numbers were 34/14/7 against them. You’re tripping. He outplayed everyone on that floor on both ends. Are we forgetting that Middleton was out that entire series and Jrue shot horribly? And coach Bud CANNOT COACH.
@@makwabear4078 Jrue was putting up 21ppg. Had Jrue also been out Giannis would've gotten swept. But it's funny how we didn't hear any of that the year before when it was KD vs the Bucks. Giannis in 2019 & 2020 his mvp years wasn’t in my top 5. MVP is a regular season award. Those two playoff runs showed why how defenses guarded him.
Exactly.
Yeah, but one can also say that once he got someone to handle the ball more instead of him having to come down with it and allowing defences to set up the wall, it made things a bit easier for him. Jrue has been the perfect fit for him.
His 2021 run solidified his status. His 2022 run unfortunately was ended by Boston, but he still dropped 34/14/7 on them without Khris Middleton and Jrue struggling. And unfortunately he got hurt for half the series against Miami, so that postseason is null. Let’s see what he does this upcoming postseason.

They both weren't shit with their all team selections, MVPs, and leading their weak teams to the playoffs. They became the shit after winning the Finals, when literally nothing changed.
Steph was excluded from top 10 lists because he had no finals MVP, despite the fact that he owns every other record or milestone the league had to offer.

@@haadtheevision Ikr?? On a diff PC video, I had some guy caping for Truth over McGrady as a scorer in the 2000s lol. His argument was because Pierce's 3 point shooting and TS% were better than McGrady's, therefore Pierce was the better scorer 💀🤡💀
I don’t think Steph was ever the best player. Even when he won the MVP Lebron was clearly better when they faced each other in the finals. He always outplayed Steph in a losing effort.
So when Iverson put up better numbers than kobe in the finals was Iverson better? When kyrie outplayed steph was kyrie better? When Wiggins outplayed Tatum does that mean Wiggins is better?
@@TheUndefeatedOfTheEastYou are trying to take the conversation away from Lebron vs Steph…. Steph has NEVER been a better all around player than Lebron who is in the goat conversations. And the sample size is large. And yes Kyrie was better than Curry in the 2016 finals matchup. Doesn’t mean he has a better career. Styles make fights. Steph had some amazing regular season but in the post season Lebron showed he was a level above him.
STEPH CURRY ISN’T BETTER THAN LEBRON AND HE NEVER HAS BEEN. I could easily compare their accolades and stats.
2015 undoubtedly
Get em Marz!🔥
Chill was cooking at the end
He was not cooking he was talking about winning 2 regular season mvps as qualifiers becasue giannis and jokic did it before they won the finals. People were calling them the best before they even made it to the finals. By the same logic then steph should have been called the best as well since he won 2 mvps in a row. The difference with steph is he went to the finals his mvp Years while the other 2 did not. They lost before they made the finals.
I think undoubtedly in 2016 Steph was the greatest while 2015 was the setup. Bron was still the best player in the league because of that consistency. Even if people say Steph had the better season in those years in comparison I wouldn’t argue.
Steph was the best in 2016
@@DanteGoldz I agree. That’s what I wrote.
It’s because his lack of two way dominance and when you go just offense to offense his gap isn’t big enough to overcome the defense. If Steph had Jrue holiday defense he would have been considered the best a few times. It’s not because he is small. It’s because defense matters
No one in the top 5 outside of jokic is producing offensively and creating historically great offenses like Steph, defense is important but chill town himself has said Steph’s offense trumps great 2 way players so let’s stop it with the defense because Steph isn’t even a bad defender he just isnt a great one and the ones who are great on defense don’t come close to Steph on offense
Bet you had Lebron as the best player in the world from 2014-2018 even though his defense fell off a cliff, next!
@@adrijiyuda looks like someone didn’t read my comment, dummy😂

LeBron was always better.
In 2019 was not better than steph😂
I think Steph is great besides shooting what else is he effective at besides drawing defenders
Offense. As a whole.
Scoring. As a whole. Not just shooting.
2015 wants its hot takes back. Because this even being asked in 2023 is wild.
What a casual he one of the best finishing pgs at the rim 2nd best handles in the nba great play maker and hood passer 🤡

@@tbone2123stop it he said what else is he good at besides shooting and i explained🤡 plus luka jokic and tons of other great players can’t play defense 🤡
The reason Curry was never given the same energy is because his dominance tends to decline more than his peers in the playoffs. He's only had 2 years where you could simultaneously argue he was the best guy in the regular season and playoffs, in 15 & 19. As well as a regular season where he was arguably the best, but didn't make the playoffs (21). The way I see it went like this over his prime.
15-LeBron>Curry
16-LeBron/KD>Curry
17-LeBron/KD/Kawhi/AD>Curry
18-LeBron/Giannis/KD/AD/Harden>Curry
19-Giannis/KD/Kawhi/AD>Curry
21-KD/Giannis/Kawhi>Curry
22-Giannis/LeBron/Jokić/KD/Jimmy>Curry
23-Jokić/Giannis/Kawhi/Jimmy/LeBron>Curry
What is this foolishness that you just posted? Kd better than curry in 2016? Curry not only beat kd but won the only unanimous mvp in league history. In 2017 AD or kawhi were not better. In 2018 giannis, kd, AD were not better than steph. In 2019 kawhi and AD were not better than steph. AD didn't even play in 2019 for most of the season. 2021 kawhi and kd weren't better. 2022 none of those dudes were better than steph. 2023 only jokic was better. Once again kawhi didn't even play most of the year, lebron was relying heavily on his team(which is fine) Jimmy does nothing in the regular season and is too inconsistent in the playoffs and giannis is living off his 2 mvps and 1 finals win.
This guy put Jimmy Butler over Steph in 22.
I’m DEAD.
@@SojiRo23 Why do y'all always go after Jimmy? It's like anytime bro gets credit as a clear top 10 guy, it's becomes a trending topic.
@@TheUndefeatedOfTheEast To say Jimmy does nothing in the regular season, while gassing 2022 Steph as the best player that year is wild.
All those other guys have cases to better than Steph, Steph was never as consistently dominant individually as Kawhi in the postseason, Kawhi is essentially the top defensive wing in combination of being 30 a night on 50-40-90 virtually every postseason for example.
If Kawhi barely played in 2023 and AD hardly played in 2019, then it's insanely hypocritical to ignore Steph missing a similar amount in 2018.
@@benjaminan1183in 2018 if u think Giannis was better than Steph curry u didn’t watch Steph curry
No, Steph was the best shooter in the world, not the best all around basketball player.
Steph shooting and scoring in general is legendary but he doesn’t do anything else good except dribbling. Although a plays a major role in his team’s success, he just isn’t the best player in the league being so….should I say it 🤔…. 1 dimensional. There I said it.
1 dimensional is being good at 1 thing. Steph is a good finisher at the rim best at the pg position in fg%. Great handles and could beat you off the dribble great playmaker and good passer. How is that 1 dimensional? A player like Duncan Robinson is 1 dimensional he only shoots 3s and nothing else you really don’t know basketball if you think curry is 1 dimensional 🤡
@@willjohnwick6911they associate being good on offense as 1 thing lol, whole time offense is a varied side of the ball with many fundamental parts to it. Just like defense can be on ball, off ball, getting deflections, being a presence that keeps drivers out the paint etc. Curry actually is a very good help defender which people just ignore because all they see is people running pick and roll to get the switch on him which he hold his own at seeing how the people attacking him are always bigger or more athletic wings(ie. the elite wing players)
I don't think there was a time when steph was the best player in the NBA , they stacked the warriors to beat Lebron. Lebron held the torch for best player in the NBA for a long while. It was Giannis for a little while & for the past few it's been Jokic imo. Think of it this way , people would take prime Lebron over prime steph and Lebrons prime lasted a long ass time. Steph is more valuable than Lebron now that lebron has gotten that age on him but now Jokic & Giannis are better than steph.
You can say they're better because steph has age on him too. But steph was better than jokic and giannis in 2022. I'll put it this way. I'll take jokic and steph over giannis hands down. Between steph and jokic it's a toss up due to steph being older.
Stop acting like Lebron hasnt stacked the deck with multiple all stars so he could win since 2011.
Id rather take Prime Curry, because Curry built his franchise and teammates up in a harder conference and hes a better team player than Lebron.
Hell, Lebron had back to back 60 win seasons in a weak Eastern Conference and got embarrassed in the 2nd round back to back years and when things got tough, he had to run to his big brother Wade and STILL had one of the biggest superstar meltdowns in Finals history in 2011.
The reason Steph hasn’t always been the best is because other superstars do the exact same shi has him. Jokic kawhi bron Gianni’s kd can all score as much if not more than him on even better efficiency. Other than scoring curry has playmaking. Other than scoring players like kawhi bron Gianni’s have scoring and playmaking while being IMPACTFUL on the other side of the court not being a liability.
What a stupid comment.
Remind us when jokic and kd were IMPACTFUL on defense? Kawhi was really great for 1 season and let's be real we've never seen Currys defense be a reason why the warriors have lost or are on the verge of losing. They run pick and roll to get guys like harden or lebron to attack him, but it isn't becasue he's a bad defender it's becasue he much smaller than them and the strategy is to wear him out and try to make him foul to get him off the court becasue if he allowed to score you're probably not going to win.
Lying is crazy as efficient as Steph lol 😂
@@TheUndefeatedOfTheEast true Steph isn’t the worst defender but we are talking ab the best player in the league. Others can do the same as him on offense but ALSO be impactful on defense. In my opinion I value two way players as being the best and most dominant players in the league.
@@TheUndefeatedOfTheEast Jokic doesn’t have defense like that put his scoring+ playmaking+ efficiency is way greater than curry’s. Kawhi is injury prone, but in my opinion in a 7 game series Kawhi and curry have equal teams, kawhi would EASILY be more impactful and is the more all around monster. Curry is easily number 2 behind bron in this generation cuz of longevity and sustained greatness, but he was never the best in the league.
With all due respect - Mars is so uneducated on this topic
Steph Curry has ONLY CONSIDERED for being the best player in the NBA for 4 months on 15-16
The guy never been an individual irreplaceable talent like guys like LeBron, KD, Kawhi, and Giannis
This is because the sport is a 2 way game, and wings are MORE valuable
Just the way the game goes....
FACTS. Marz just showing his bias for the warriors
@@kingclutch1978 The guy always has lol
He's beeeeeen a warriors fan
Kd NEVER has been a 2 way player until he came to play for the warriors who were a great defensive team.
Huh? If Durant didnt run to Stephs team after choking to him, he would have no rings.
If Lebron didnt run to his big brother Wade after choking back to back 60 win seasons, he would be ringless.
Kawhi was lucky he was drafted to a Top 5 player OATs team to learn from him and Pop.
Giannis finally broke thru, but it took him 6 years of Playoff Failures to get over the hump and he just lost to a 8th seed one man band in Jimmy Butler.
Curry is way more valuable than all of them
@@TheUndefeatedOfTheEast Who's more likely to get you a stop...
I'd would 100% say KD -- if you say Steph, please tell me why?
I know I’m o the vast majority but Steph is so overrated
He’s never been the leagues best so by default not the best of his generation
He’s an awesome, volume shooter but aside from that he’s so overrated
He's more than a shooter he's a scorer. And if you think he's only a shooter than averaging 50/40/90 and 30ppg while being a shooter only is better than awesome.
Steph is the only star of a dynasty that no one wants to call the best player in the world.
Steph can’t shoot nothing but 3s that’s it what else can he do
This isn’t even true lol. Steph is a great finisher at the rim too.
