I just saw this vid Larry and dang if my tank on my Vulcan had the same leak in the exact same place, came from the rally in Tallahassee last week and smelled gas, tank is clean as a whistle on the inside and you are correct it’s the weld. I used some JB weld on mine, let dry for 24 hours and seems to have fixed it.
God's alus truth do not trust the JB weld you need to what I did in this video if you need help please let me know sir I will be glad to help you because gas leaks can be dangerous
great video. i have the same bike, even same color. i tried a different way with my brother in law using a marine boat seal product but only worked for a little while. any chance you're close to West Palm Beach and could do the same thing for my bike if I took the tank off for a reasonable fee. thx, Rod
Thank you for your comment sir only the Vulcan 900 when it first fires up it's kind of like goes into a choke mode and that's the reason why it idles high to begin with and ask it warms up the idle comes back down mine does it virtually every time I Crank it up so that is just common there's really no way that I know of to delete that that's all in the computer system but thank you for your comment sir 🤗
Yes sir at the back of the tank and I have been using the red kote sense the mid 80s and I know it works the best and if you have rust in your tank it will stop it and thank you for your question and comment sir 👍
@@onmyown2241 long story short if you have a leak in the tank JB weld will not fix it sorry to say it has to be sealed from the inside of the tank and the best thing I have found is Red kote works the best and I have been using it since the 80s and never had a comeback I hope this helps you out Sir 👍

Can I plug off anything while having gas inside the tank?
I meant removing tank with gas inside
