In my opinion I’d go with the Integra because of the integrated battery system. If you ever do need more battery life, you can just run a USBC cable to the goggles and have a power bank in your pocket. I haven’t personally run them dry before my battery supply yet. I’m running a 5 battery cycle on the Avata with the Integra Goggles along with using them for the Mavic 3 and FPV platforms. Here’s a link to using the Integra Goggles and the Motion Controller 2 with the Mavic 3. It shows the system as a whole in better detail🔺

You can adjust the speed for the joystick. I didn't know this and it never felt like it DID anything so I was so confused why it had so many additional buttons that didn't do jack. Ditto reverse. I had no idea why it would do that when just letting off the throttle totally brakes the drone to a hover.

    • @Skynetdronesystems
      @Skynetdronesystems  Рік тому +1

Very interesting I never knew you could adjust the speed! I know there’s a big difference in the response/movement of the aircraft when switching from normal to sport mode. But had no idea you could change the speed! Ive used the reverse once or twice to back out of a cluster of objects I realized I couldn’t squeeze through. Thanks for the info I really appreciate it! 🔺

Greetings from Germany! First of all; THANK YOU for a great instructional video. It is really appreciated. I am using the DJI Mini 4 Pro and I recently purchased the Integra Goggles and the Motion 2 controller. Having tried it a couple of times, I must say it is more challenging than I expected. In your video you are chasing around the trees etc, which I found difficult. You can see the dot in the middle, but its hard to know where you actually are away from an obstacle. It will certainly take some time and effort to become proficient. One question or thought; up to now the DJY Virtual Fly app does not support the goggles and the Motion 2 controller, which would be an excellent tool to do some practice on. Does anyone know if, maybe in further updates, the DJY Virtual Fly app might be upgraded to include the googles and Motion 2 controller? Cheers😅

Thanks so much for the comment! You’ll get comfortable with the circle ⭕️ and feel for what you can fit the aircraft through! It really is unfortunate that they haven’t updated the Flight Simulator to use the MC 2. It would be a fantastic way to practice exactly what you mentioned above. I haven’t heard anything about a Flight Simulator update but I know that they’ve heard a lot about adding the MC 2 to the software. 🔺

Do I have to recalibrate my drone/motion controller 2 and goggles everytime I get a update? took my avata out yesterday and I noticed my goggles were not straight and the controller wasnt straight and Idk the drone was prob off. it seem like my drone was fighting me with the controller. idk you tell me. seemed strange???

I literally went through this yesterday. It’s only happened one time before so not something I do prior to every flight by any means. Turn everything on, goggles, motion controller 2 and the aircraft. Inside the goggles, go to settings, control, calibration. Calibrate the IMU. (I’d calibrate the compass etc as well while you’re in the menu) The aircraft will run like it’s on rails again 🔺

I've been flying drones since before there were drones. Way back in the early TREX helo days. The Motion Controller 2 that came with my Avata is the worst control system I've ever used. Depending on a gyro and accelerometer to control the aircraft is just bad design on DJI's part. Worse yet, is the tap to takeoff and land function... Imagine if the moment you put your car in drive, the accelerator would stick open at 3/4 throttle to "Help" you reach highway speeds. I appreciate you taking the time to explain how it works, but I'd say the best "tip" would be to throw the Motion controller in the trash and get a regular two stick system.

Thanks for the comment! I know a lot of pilots feel the same way you do. One thing that I hadn’t considered as an application for the MC2 was for someone with a physical disability. Someone without the ability to confidently manipulate stick flight controls. (EX: Someone with Multiple sclerosis) can use this to leap out of a wheel chair and rip around an area. I think exploring using FPV UAV aircraft like the Avata and the MC2 as a flight control system might give someone with physical disabilities the ability to fly. Just a thought on how this technology might be able to be implemented to get some new pilots off the ground. I completely understand your mindset in regards to the traditional flight controls. Thanks for taking the time to leave such a detailed comment! I really appreciate the input. 🔺

@@Skynetdronesystems I think that is a valid reasoning, someone with a missing arm for example. However I think it should not be the default out of the box. I suspect DJI will return to traditional control surfaces in future versions. I think the control system hurt the reputation of the Avata, which was an otherwise fantastic drone after a few software updates.

100%! IMO the Avata is the most durable and user friendly aircraft out of the box. For new pilots it’s a game changer to get them up and flying. For more experienced pilots it’s a fantastic tool to have in your kit. At an incredible price point as well! 🔺

You can use the motion controller 2 on dji fly I believe. I recently had a flight simulator setup for people to try out flying the Avata and I’m almost positive I used the dji motion 2 controller for it. However I’m not 100% positive about that. I do have the motion controller for the FPV drone but could’ve sworn I set it up using the motion controller 2. I think DJI enabled it in a recent update. 🔺

Had the mini 1 and still several 2's. Just bought the 3 pro with the DJI RC. I've kept the controller new in the wrapper in case I want to sell it as I also bought the Integra/motion 2. I can still link the 3 Pro to my N1's as I have several in case something happens to the googles/2.
Im wondering if theres features only available on the DJI RC that are not on the N1 or in the goggles like some of the settings to tweek how responsive your joysticks are would be awesome on the motion 2. The motion 2 seems jerky and not really something viable for cinematic vids. However if theres a setting like seen in Drone Creative:
"IMPORTANT Drone Setting Nearly Nobody Uses! | DJI Mini 4 Pro/Mini 3 Pro Tips & Tricks".
(how to chill out your toggles on the N1)
I tried looking for something like that in the goggles, but I think its something that DJI would have to do in an update. Someone like you might know of a Playstore app or whatever. Something maybe that should be brought to DJI's attention as the goggles and headtracking make for Hollyweed type moves, but something has to be done to chill out the motion controller and even the google, er goggles.
PS. The reason I bought the Pro RC package is there were no Mini 3 Pro drone only anywhere, but the 3 Pro/RC was on sale $1000 CAD taxes in, or $736 USD (approx $650 USD before 13% taxes).
Love the Integra/Motion 2, but even after many hours I doubt they will ever be smooth enough for cinematic. Maybe you know someone to collaborate an app before DJI figures out your making money?

Fantastic question. I use the RC PRO to fly the Mavic 3T and the RC-N1 to fly the Mavic 3 primarily. I use the Motion controller 2 primarily for FPV flights. To my knowledge there’s no way of tweaking the reaction speed of the aircraft in relation to the movement of the Motion controller 2. Either in the goggles or on the flight stick other than the standard mode switches. 🔺

I was hopeful I could map the dial on the motion 2 to control camera pitch. Appreciate your video and your response. I’m not 100% positive because someone may know of a feature I’m not aware of however I don’t think the Avata has a “look down” feature. On the original motion controller used to pilot the DJI FPV there’s a toggle switch to flip the camera downward at a 90* angle during landings. Never tried it while operating in any other conditions. Aircraft like the DJI mini, Air and Mavic series have cameras that will give you the desired effect you’re looking for. 🔺

In order to fly sideways using the motion controller to perform an “Orbit” style flight. You’d need to activate and utilize the head tracking features with the goggles.
