This is basically one of my most favourite cars on earth only beaten out by a LP-640 Lamborghini Murcielago manual. As a result my dad and I both have one. My dad has a 2010 Maserati Quattroporte Sport GTS and I have a 2007 Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT with the ZF transmission. They are literally a dream to drive and for the people who know, it's a Ferrari for the family. It is an absolutely stunning car.

@@Eidrian111 Both have been great. Obviously they do have their quirks especially being Italian cars. For example some buttons are confusing and what not but overall, they’ve been very nice to have. They’re very enjoyable. Coming to the point of reliability, they’ve been really good. They’re not as bad as people may make them seem. Sure they may be expensive when it needs specific things, but other than that, they haven’t given much trouble.
They are very nice cars....you just have to drive it in manual to make the clutch last...but the Italian opera music coming from pipes are like no other...😁😎
Is it coincidence that this was published the same day as Hoovie bought his Quattroporte?

Ha, nothing wrong with the duo select transmission, its NOT an auto, its a paddle shift manual. learn to drive it properly and it is a stunning drive.
That is my hope, actually! I am looking for a car with the duo select box, as this is a transaxle with a dry sump!! How can people skip those facts? An executive saloon car with stuff like that??!
@suli to be honest, I do not care too much. To make 30k probably I would need a couple of years, so no issue.

What years this car the lever looks duoselect. Did they improve on the duoselect before the zf?

The whole video is about the improved version. And its fantastic, actually its superb to the ”booring” zfAuto…-bought the 2007 SportGT.
Duoselect transmission made this car awful. The ZF transmission made it a little better
Duoselect makes much more involving drive. When not for daily use, more interesting.
You get used to it after a month of use. It's not that bad. The problem with most reviews is that they only have the car for a day or 2 and don't get to know the car.
Have you even driven a M139?

What about the reliability
well, I can tell you they are guaranteed to make it out of the deal's yard.
They have hydraulic mounts. Both gearbox and engine. They have a common engine rattle that makes it sound like a diesel. Easily fixed if you can put your hand to tearing apart the engine. There are tons of UA-cam videos on how to do this. Skyhook suspension is a costly replacement. Go for the 4.7L the suspension set up is the classic strut shock absorber and spring.

I've had one for years now and has never had any problems. All I've done is replace the clutch
