  • Good morning dear friends! By the time you read this Tanya and I will be on our way up to the cabin to spend a couple of days. This week we will be cleaning out the messy old generator building and starting to transform it into an inviting woodshop. We are excited about this space and can't wait to get to work. The roof is our first and biggest concern. It is literally collapsing under the heavy snow load. We will start by shoring it up and then begin to make permanent repairs. We are so glad you are coming along for this adventure.
The daily highs are up above freezing almost every day now and the snow should start receding soon. Spring is on it's way to the mountains and we are so looking forward to it. We can't wait to show you this beautiful country!
We love you all so much. Thank you for your friendship.

Hello from Ohio, I watch all your videos I don’t comment very often I’m glad to see your wife is join the club. I’m a 63-year-old carpenter and I love to watch you build your cabins. This video reminds me of the movie the shining all that snow you can get lost in a maze of snow lol! Thanks Brian

Looking at that ridge beam sticking out it strikes me that it would be a great place to hang the Bed and Breakfast sign (with a bit of reinforcement). It is great to have your wife there with you and the audio going along with her arrival. She has the most beautiful smile and seems overflowing with energy! I enjoy watching you do the things I have done in past years (without all the equipment) as I am doing less and less in my seventies. Seems I spend as much time in my chair as I do in the shop! Keep up the work and the humor. It is good to see you laugh together with Stella grinning!

Greetings Tanya and Gale. This is Dina from California. I want you to understand how much I look forward to each and every video. I am 58 years young and work on my own projects. Nothing close to your complex projects. I relate to Tanya working. I too have used two hands to hammer nails. We have to work smarter, not harder.
I really appreciate your creativity, skill and hard work. I’ve learned a great deal watching y’all. Please keep safe and warm. Till next video

And don’t they typically use nail belts?!” He is NOT typical. 😂 Stella can sleep through about anything. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again- she is a lady of leisure! Her main job is to look pretty and that’s what she does 90% of the time, the other 10% she is keeping us thoroughly entertained 😊. It is good to chat with you friend. Watching the struggle to get the ceiling in the "cabin" shored up and the "lower" insulation in place without the aid of the staple gun reminded me of the struggles I face when helping Fred work his magic on all our cars and mechanical items while I stand and grapple with holding a hand tool successfully!! Gale is the natural builder, renovator, go-getter of all things new and rebuilt while Tanya is the natural expert in all things creative and good to eat and drink and comfortable. Just to let you know, Tanya, Fred and I struggle with our natural expertises vs. our natural inabilities, just as you and Gale do. I tell Fred often, "No body wants to feel like they're wrong or inept!" When it all comes down to it, we are together because of our difference, not in spite of them. And we're only together for 17 years, having come together late in life - I was 56 and Fred was 50 when we met and decided to spend our lives together. And, we're going to stay together and spend our lives getting to know each other instead of butting heads about our differences. Tough but rewarding time spent!
Boy, talk about throwing us a curve!! The first shot of the snake and the "floating "lizard" was quite the shock! We were surprised to see those critters until we remembered y'all had gone to Texas! The warmth must have been a welcome change from the cold in Alaska.
We like our Black Snakes here in Florida and our millions of chameleons who keep our home free from rats, mice, spiders, roaches and other vermin. Every place has its vermin and we all learn to live with them. Right now, we have a nest of baby raccoons up at the top of our 50-foot pine tree. Every day is a new adventure in Living!! Have a GREAT day unless you have other plans!
Love to you both, Leslie Ann & Fred!!

Leslie Ann & Fred, thank you so much for the thoughtful comment. I agree with you- we are also very different people with very different abilities but I like to think that we balance each other out. It truly does take a lifetime to get to know a person and there are some things that occur in a relationship that only time can purchase. I’m grateful for many years together. It hasn’t always been easy but it’s always been worth it.
I’m sure seeing us somewhere other than buried in snow was a shock! We had a lovely time in the sunshine visiting with our son and his lovely fiancé. It is a wonderful thing to be able to travel and in 12 hours be in a completely different climate!
We so appreciate you being here with us and watching each week. Peace and blessing to you both! 🥰 ~T&G

No problem! -35 degrees below zero? No problem! We are t quite as prepared for heatwaves but they’re pretty rare lol. Thanks for watching, Janet and for taking time to comment. Take care. 😊

The one liners were great today!
T - "I'm a law unto myself" (My personal favorite)
    T - "Rude"
G - "Rude? You don't quite understand job-site etiquette." (Viewers know G would never subject T to true "job-site etiquette".)
Also, I imagine all viewers know that if you ever do make paid endorsements it will only be because it is something that you use and like, not because someone is paying to use your credibility with us. I can think of only one other channel where I'd trust recommendations like I would trust yours.
