    Omg can't wait to try this tomorrow. I went on. A course with Avery Dennison last year. Set up my own garage but rear windows have been my biggest fear. I haven't taken off professionally as I've been scared if the rear windows but if method actually works then thank you so much.
    Can you do a video on windscreens plus chameleon tints?

      Follow my IG all my info is in there and if you have help with the rear window you can call me or DM me. The Avery course is great. I can do a windshield video. It will be about the same as the back glass but I can do that for you.

    Hey question, so you wait for the soap warer to dry on the window and then you apply the tint on top of the dried out soaped window?
    Whats the point of the soap? Prevent sticking?

    • @dead_eye_tint
      @dead_eye_tint  Рік тому

      Yes I wait for it to dry. It’s called DRY SHRINKING. The point is to help the film stick to the glass so it’s easier to manage when heating. You can use a bar of soap to do this method, but I found that using a dryer sheet for laundry is the best method for myself

    • @dead_eye_tint

      Ya I’m using Solar Armor. They are big in Australia and I am the distributor in the US. Great film and easy to shrink. Check out my IG page I’ll send you a roll.

    • @dead_eye_tint
      @dead_eye_tint  Рік тому

      Only the rear windows. The sides are more simple. I can make a side window video this weekend and I’ll post it.

    Can I use this same method for wet shrinking it?

    • @dead_eye_tint
      @dead_eye_tint  6 місяців тому

      Yes and no…I would be more relaxed with the fingers. Still make the H pattern but don’t trip on it so much on vertical fingers. Make sure the squeegee you use as a cushion with it. I never wet shrink, but when I do I go really slow and use a felt pad or a wrap squeegee

    • @dead_eye_tint
      @dead_eye_tint  Рік тому

      You can always use a torch also. Sometimes I use a torch. Torch is a little tougher to learn with you need to learn distance and propane or butane temperature. But that works too absolutely. When learning I feel it’s best to learn with a heatgun

    That must be a Subaru. And I'll be honest I like doing stuff myself and trying to save money and learn how to do things at the same time but I believe I have bitten off way more than I can chew with this tinning thing because it looks super simple but you see a bunch of jacked up tent around and you're like wow how hard could it be to do tent and then you look into it just a little bit and you're like oh shit so I'm going to have to ruin it about five times before I get it right. Like it just doesn't stick to my fucking window

    • @dead_eye_tint
      @dead_eye_tint  Рік тому

      Try using more dryer sheet on the corners. Maybe pull the heat gun away a little bit when doing those corners. It will heat a little more slowly so you can pay attention to that area.
