I wonder whether those methods of oppression are what causes the mindset of wanting to control others and also being suspicious of them. Perhaps if you have never been oppressed and instead have been respected and believed in, it wouldn’t even occur to you to control and manipulate another person as you would feel they have the same rights as you.

Nothing is 100% but I still reckon if you’ve not been controlled you wouldn’t think about controlling others, and it’s well known in psychology that people often repeat what they had and don’t question it, I know that to be true in this context because I’ve been involved in education research for several years.

Your theory doesn't hold water. I went to public schools and I don't want to control others.
