I bring it in my 6.0 lineup to help my black prince and centurion mk1, it's amazing how well it does there since you can still easily pen tiger 1's and Panthers.
@@bassbusterx Oh I do have the avenger in the line-up too. Any vehicle with a cromwell chasis is an insta-lock on my book. But unlike the concept 3, the avenger does not have a coaxical mg, scout, good reverse gear or thin enough for large APHE shells to fuze. Concept is also empty enough for poor shots to not do anything. While any SPAA will shred it and americans with their .50 bunkers do strike fear at close quarters, it's thick enough for 7.62 to not pierce even at the sides and the angling on the front let's you survive those fifty caliber guns for long enough to get a shot off, if they are at a range to shoot you with fifties, remember, a little worse 17 pounder is still a 17 pounder. Though both are great, a concept 3 is a lot better at being the avenger than the avenger is being a concept.

Do you remember when Gaijin removed the Concept 3's LRF? I clearly remember it had it when it was added and Gaijin also highlighted it as a low BR vehicle as a "learning" tank on how to use LRFs.

@@NATOenthusiast well, tbf low tier doesn't have that many long distance maps for a low BR tank with LRF to make advantage of. That and 77mm HV have pretty good ballistics, and without APDS (or even with) it got nerfed to the ground and its APDS doesn't pen Panthers UFP's anymore.

For me, it really depends if it’s from the 77 or from the actual 17 pounder. The 77 only has 160mm pen or something like that from memory, but the actual 17 pounder has 190mm
This is me with the Bulldogs ammo types. Base is just kinda lack luster for tier. M319 has a hissy fit at the mildest angle, And the big boi M331A2 likes to shatter or bounce off IS/ISU hulls at point blank even going for the weak spots. Hell I had a Stuart III in someones lineup just absorb a M331 in the turret face, not overpen and do nothing, just soaked it up like it was a ball of wet paper. Then other games, especially if my daily is critical hits or assists, it annihilates every target like theres a miniature nuke in each round.

since you said the ratel 90 wasn't bad, you should play the objectively awful ratel version; the ratel 20. it has the same bad mobility as the 90, but with the same weapons as the marder IFV, which doesn't sound bad at first, until you realise you're expected to fight king tigers and jumbo pershings with 7 slow moving ATGMs and an autocannon that can't even pen a panther's side (day 33)
I really like the ratel 20 though the ATGMs are the lowest BR mouse aimed ATGMs in the game and you get nearly twice as many as the marders or BMPs you need to rearm pretty often but you can put in good work with those missiles
Go on flanks. Never try to be the assault force. Usual wt player mistake to assume they are entitled to pen everything frontally. Also, some LTs are more of a support role (ratel20mm as a prime example) and they are never good at fighting by themselves.
I love the Concept 3, its such a wierd vehicle but can fight well above its wieght class and do exceptionallly well for being essentially a fat puma with a big gun

Honestly, I'd like to take the opportunity to say that the performance of the QF 77mm 3-inch is absolutely atrocious. This gun was touted as being one of Britain's best AT guns, mainly because it used a smaller shell than the 17-pounder so you could actually reload it in a decent amount of time. But in game, the penetration is horrendous (the APDS can't even pen the upper front plate of a Panther beyond close range), the reload time is somehow LONGER than the 17-pounder despite the aforementioned smaller shell size, and to say the damage is abysmal would be one hell of an understatement. People debate whether "Soviet bias" is actually a thing in War Thunder, but I can say without a doubt that there's somebody on the Gaijin dev team with some kind of personal grudge against British vehicles.
Minor pedantic correction, the 77mm HV did not have a smaller shell than the 17pdr; it used the same projectiles as the 17pdr but with a shorter case length.
It's absolutely insane to me that the 120mm on the Conqueror, built to take out Russian heavies, can sometimes non pen Leopard 1s For some reason the APDS fired from the 17pdr can't pen the front plate of a Panther, but IRL the 17pdrs AP can go through Tigers and sometimes Tiger 2s with little to no difficulty If I shell shatter on the front plate of a T-54 again when I'm in a Centurion, which the 20pdr can and did liquify irl, I'm going to loose it

Day 61 of telling spookston to play the IT1. its a ATGM launcher on the t62 chassis, it has decent-ish mobility, the turret is squished. You can hide behind cover and shoot ATGM over the cover like a gremlin and you overpressure tanks (tho it can be rare, but it does happen without you realizing) and its MG is really werid. Also it has a cool reload animation.
The reformers would be salivating over this thing and would demand the US military to replace the Bradley with it. "We don't need all this unnecessary, expensive, and heavy tech. Just build it fast and with a big gun." Gotta love the absolute goobers who can't process any weapon design post 1941.
Nah this is the M1 replacment. The bradly needs to be replaced by a M113 with card board Armour so it is light enough you can strap wings to it. Aero Gavin was the wildest fever dream ever dreamed. The Concept 3 is actually cool when you thing this leads ftom the AML90 to the rooikat.

The artillery is to hang back from the battlefield in a concealed position, not engaging targets with a direct line of sight, unless in self defence, (binoculars are acceptable. Basically gunner's sight is not to have eyes on target) There is a ground map distance app for War Thunder that could help. ALL CAS is fair game. (day 13) Also a fun video topic for you to do would be how you, Spookston, would build your own tank army, delving into the features, armament, powerplant, roles, etc of your tanks. It can be of any setting, as well, or one of your own making.

YOU MISSED THEW BEST FEATURE OF THIS TANK!!! DRIVING BACKWARDS!!!! Lol. I put all my camo and bushes on the back for this thing. It drives backwards better than forwards I think, as it can climb hills and accelerate on snow/sand much better. Sure you don't get as good gun depression when looking straight ahead, but a few degrees to each side, and you can get the full depression. It makes the tank SO MUCH more survivable since the engine will absorb .50cal and light tank rounds like a champ, allowing your crew to survive and return fire. Plus you can get lucky a lot where Tigers and Shermans shoot sideways into your engine area thinking its the front of your tank. Then you can slap them back and repair with a full crew. Would love to squad up and show you these antics one day. :p

The milan at 6.7 is kinda heat tho, yeah you're in a unarmored Battlebus but you can delete pretty much anything at the br range.

I challenge you to team up with OddBawZ as a scout/artillery pair, where one of you plays as the sneaky scout, spotting targets for the artillery to shoot. You can use any ratty scout vehicle and any self propelled artillery. The scout is not allowed to engage targets directly, unless in self defense, (but they can immobilize their target). The artillery is to hang back from the battlefield in a concealed position, not engaging targets with a direct line of sight, unless in self defence, (binoculars are acceptable. Basically gunner's sight is not to have eyes on target) There is a ground map distance app for War Thunder that could help. ALL CAS is fair game. (day 13)
Also a fun video topic for you to do would be how you, Spookston, would build your own tank army, delving into the features, armament, powerplant, roles, etc of your tanks. It can be of any setting, as well, or one of your own making.

I put all my camo and bushes on the back for this thing. It drives backwards better than forwards I think, as it can climb hills and accelerate on snow/sand much better. Sure you don't get as good gun depression when looking straight ahead, but a few degrees to each side, and you can get the full depression. It makes the tank SO MUCH more survivable since the engine will absorb .50cal and light tank rounds like a champ, allowing your crew to survive and return fire. Plus you can get lucky a lot where Tigers and Shermans shoot sideways into your engine area thinking its the front of your tank. Then you can slap them back and repair with a full crew. Would love to squad up and show you these antics one day. :p
Spookston’s luck in a nutshell: “This won’t one-shot, it’s solid shot.” Vaporizes enemy. “He can’t spawn a plane, right?” Gets bombed instantly.
