The nature of their engines is that they whine at low RPMs and scream like a banshee at high revs. And they're both impractical as daily drivers and track cars, both from a maintenance standpoint (they tend to be very needy) and from a general usage standpoint. And you're also not going to want to track them until after you make a bunch of upgrades from the road-oriented parts and remove superfluous crap from the interior and mechanicals.
