This is the best explained but also simple video!! Love it!! Keeping it simple and showing everything needed. I just ordered the Noco plug for my trailers going to cut the inside female end off and make one of these junction but with a switch
🤔😂.. 🤷♂️ but I don’t recall motels having outdoor outlets for guest? Do they? Wouldn’t their parking lots be full with rv’s & campers 😳🤷♂️ … but if they do 👍 can’t wait for part two!!! Installation of solar panels on the roof so all your stuff will be charging & charged when you get to your destination 😁😜 👍✌🏻 … merry Christmas 🎄🎁 keep the vids coming
Just curious. Why didn't you install a breaker? I know that the power cord you are plugging from is connected to a breaker, but any downsides to not having a breaker on the trailer side? Thank you for the video and your time.
I'm no electrician....but the goal was to just have a way to keep the trailer locked and get power inside...really no different than if we had the door open and had the same cord going in. You could use a outlet like you find in bathrooms instead of what I did, but my electrician buddies said they didn't recommend it
Wrap some electrical tape around the entire outlet, cover all the screws that you could attach wires to....a couple passes with the tape. Because short circuits suck!

When you do what I do you... you learn the places that do
Merry Christmas Ross. That plug would be great for connecting shore power to a boats battery maintainers , or for downrigger plug in power.
thank you
What size stain less screws did you use?
Got to fit them to what you end up with getting and the walls
Would you please provide the link to the Leviton you purchased? I haven't found one with the plug-in already in it like you used. Thank you!
Long long time ago....search on Amazon under leviton was easy to find
Did you ground the 4x4 box or just the outlet?
Do you have the levitron part numbers for what you used on this project? What gauge wire did you use?
I dont....but easy search on Amazon. Match wires to voltage being used with plug, etc. When in doubt go up a size

@@Bigwaterfishing they didn’t recommend a GFCI outlet? Curious why, being it’s an added safety. Anyway, thanks again!
Is there a way to do this to have multiple outlets in the trailer?
You could wire it just like you would a garage but need to be careful about daisy chaining to far with to many just like you would need to In a garage
What size hole saw did you use?
Would someone tell me exactly the name of everything, and where to get. I would like to do it myself
Link to parts im women new to it
Glad you flipped it! Lol

Use one slightly larger than whatever size plug you end up using
