Interview JEAN MARIE ECAY & MIKE STERN

Here is the interview made Image o Mike, in July 2022 in Charenton. I was opening the show playing solo, before Mike and his Band. Spontaneous, we started to speak about music, Cobham , Coltrane... and I grabbed an acoustic guitar, wich was not plugged, to play some notes with Mike on the electric guitar, who was about to do his sound check, with all his gear ready on stage.

and you are right... Mike is a great inspiration. I once had a masterclass with him nad he was the sweetest guy you could imagine. I learned a lot on that day... music, guitar and how treat people who obviously know less about a subject than yourself. I still teach with this attitude twenty years later.

Yamaha's electric guitars never really took off. Yet I'm glad that they're still manufacturing the Mike Stern Yamaha. I think I want one.
