Ed Bickert. Deeply great player played a Telecaster exclusively since finding it to be suitable for all types of session work etc. Apparently he used Gibson humbucker up at the neck. But his playing was so tasty and polished. His approach was always swinging and interesting so that he really didn't sound like anyone else.
What a good guy, with REAL info and soulful consideration.
I love hearing Mike do MIles voice. Oh, and his playing too of course.
I couldn't find the right pathway to jazz/fusion. Mike Sterns work with Miles Davis has shown me the way.
