When I was a teenager my parents bought me a tape-recorder and the album "On the beach". So much time have passed since. Now I'm an adult and often remember those days. The world is changing. I dare to say changing to the worse. But Chris's songs never change. Whatever mood you are you can always find one that will cure your soul.

Saw Chris in concert at Harrogate in 2017. This man is an incredible musician as well as a unbelievable songwriter. Listen to all his stuff, just about every day and can truly say that he is the only man I'd love to meet
You are not Frid Mercury but but you are an equal legend, thank goodness you are a living legend and we are honoured to live in the same era with you.
If you look at his interviews, from the ‘80’s to now, Chris has been amazingly consistent. Humble, not making a big deal of his success - a truly individual and talented artist. Always laid back - you can’t help but like him, and his music.
One of the most successful artists and composers - his genius as a musician is beyond question and unparalleled in modern music!
I visited so many concerts in Germany since 1986 and I´m afraid I woulndn´t have survived without his music. Thanks Mr. Rea!
the man is a GREAT artist.. love his music.. AND proud that he is of Italian heritage ( noticed the influence in much of his material)... "Christopher Rea was born on 4 March 1951 in Middlesbrough in the North Riding of Yorkshire to an Italian father, Camillo Rea (died December 2010) originating from Arpino in the Province of Frosinone".... yup... knew there was a "recognition" for me in his style and unique sound

@@ekstradycja mark knopfler is a douchebag. the sod cancelled his russian shows after the annexation of crimea stating that he didn't want to perform for the electorate of a dictator or some shit like that (maybe there was some gayety involved instead, i don't remember precisely). AS IF we had ELECTED a dictator.

I can remember very well when Chris Rea's "Auberge" was in the charts back in 1991(I was about 13 yrs old at the time) ... My father and uncle would play his Road To Hell album a lot in their cars or at home. I remember them talking about Chris Rea's new hit single "Auberge". They loved his new hit but they both agreed that Auberge the album was nothing compared to the Road to Hell album. Keep these fantastic interview clips coming... Many thanks.
