I refuse to participate in someone else's mental illness.
I said the same thing at work 10 yrs ago. we had g.i.d. prisoners and I didn't refer to them in the affirmative manner. in the presence of one of them, I told the social worker that I won't acquiesce to someone else's psychosis. it nearly got me a disciplinary demotion.

My step daughter wanted to be referred to as 'they/them' then 2 months later 'he/him'. We discussed it with her that we support her decisions of sexual nature, but until 18, she is our daughter, and that is that. We also took away UA-cam, Instagram, and have a meeting with her school. Time to nip this in the bud.

I'm sorry you had to go through that. I believe our public schools are no longer safe for kids. I put my kids in private school, and many parents are home schooling. I just don't see any other way right now.

35 years ago when I was in school we called each other all kinds of things. Mostly curse words and no one got offended. We had a really good time. Thank God my kids are done with school too!! I wouldn't send them even if they were still young.
First & foremost, this school violated the free speech rights of three brave 8th graders by forcing/compelling their speech! When the school failed to do so, they falsely accused/charged them with “sexual harassment”! I truly hope those proud parents file multiple lawsuits & sue that school out of existence!! What this vile school did to these poor innocent kids & their families is beyond immoral, pathetic & disgusting!

I was also bulled in grade school, and I also remember wishing that I could sue the school. But then, I was being bullied for real, though not sexually harassed. Things were so different back then. The thinking was, "Sticks and stones may break your bones but words can never hurt you." That was pretty much what most adults would say when children complained about being verbally bulled. Of course, when the bullying got physical it was another story. But now, we've gone to the other extreme. There has to be a happy medium somewhere.
I went to home Depot to buy some paint. I went up to an employee and asked where the paint dept. was. She had a card pinned to her shirt which listed her pronouns, I forget what they were, so I took my pronoun card out of my pocket that said" my pronouns are; su majestad, his super greatness, and his badassosity with double endemnity ferocity. She looked at my pronouns and said" I'm not calling you that!" I said "O.K. toots"

This is exactly the point that Jordan Peterson was making in Canada several years ago. In this boy's case the 'government' is the school, and they are forcing students go say particular words, instead of other words that are completely appropriate. And even if I only had a high school diploma, they would at least be taught Reading Writing and arithmetic, and history. One of the worst things you can do is to call someone a sexual harasser when it isn't true. I once was accused of sexual misconduct at work, and I fought back and filed a sexual harassment complaint against the accuser. My claim centered around the accuser used a false claim of sexual misconduct which is also sexual harassment. That prompted an investigation that came out in my favor.
You don't get to change the language we speak, and then suddenly call us criminals for speaking it.
Time to walk away from any school system that shows such insanity.! I know many people can not stay home to homeschool. So...how about mutual support. Help those parents who cannot afford to stay home.
