When my family went to Bohol earlier this year, I spent days researching but couldn't find these places you went to. Kudos to you for finding these gems! Just as much as I love travelling abroad, I feel guilty knowing that the Philippines has so much to offer yet I have uncovered so little. Thank you so much for having this series!! It really opens my eyes to the beauty of our country.

Always ask the locals! The tourist guides always bring outsiders to the popular destinations, not really in gems like they went to in this video! Though honestly, as a local, I do know these places exist but I haven’t been to most of them because since our island is concentrating on eco-tourism, it unfortunately comes with tourist prices. 😔

The most memorable fire flies scene I remembered was in Kansirong, Maasin City, So. Leyte, the whole tree was lit up with fire flies and not just one tree but several trees along the road. The sight was breathtaking , their lights illuminated the whole darkness and I was watching this on top of the moving passenger jeep.

Fireflies are majestic creatures! I can still remember the feeling when I visited Iwahig in Puerto Princesa, Palawan. Truly majestic and jaw dropping! Bonus as well are the phytoplanktons on th river which glow when touched!
