7:15 WRONG! Sport mode makes no difference to suspension and steering. It changes the way the automatic transmission goes through the gears. In sports mode, it holds a lower gear for longer to allow higher revs before changing gear and allows better acceleration.
When I had the 2015 model, I used it all the time. Now that I have the 2018 turbo model, I almost never use it as the turbo provides ample acceleration.
Also, the paddle shifter can be used while in drive. It's especially useful when approaching a corner you want to accelerate quickly out of. Just manually kick down a gear and off you go. Again, I forget that I even have paddle shifting as the turbo provides great acceleration. But it's nice to know it's there. Probably better used when towing and wanting to use manual shifting to control the car.
You didn't mention the heads-up display. The 360 degree camera view with 180 degree front and rear cross traffic view, the front and rear parking sensors, the front and rear cross traffic alert, the lane keep assist, the stop-go radar cruise control, the self dimming frameless rear vision mirror, the blind spot monitoring and alert, the auto hold feature, the auto hill start assist, the front and rear low speed collision avoidance system, but I guess you have to be allowed to drive to demonstrate those features.
I've a 2017 Mazda, absolutely love it. the sports mode does hold the lower gear longer to get a higher RPM. I am not a huge fan of sports mode though. Love the drive though. Watching this video at 1:ooAM and feel like taking it out for a ride now
Nice job guys. Keep up the good work.
Nice video. You may want to invest in a lapel mic to have the volume consistent but other than that good job.
Color is sharp. Between this and crystal blue
This. Crystal blue does not age well on mazda
Whys that
@@Mrtellitlikeitis from experience. The clear coat gets hazy and will show frosted streaks from angles. I have seen it more on the mazda 3 blue coloured ones. They usually start showing after 1 year of use.
I had the machine gray which is an Amazing color. I now have the blue mica.
I miss the gray.
Mazda cars are adorable
Unrelated: we have the same name

Beautiful n sporty mid size sedan 👍👍👍
Nice video man, how’d you get the car for the review?
Thanks a lot!
So actually, this car is my dad’s car. You’ll find that (at least starting off) family and close friends are the way to go!
@@AlexAutomotiveCarReviews nice! I’ve had similar success within those close circles but had a hard time getting a dealership to agree to a review
@@themastercylinder3082 haven’t tried dealerships YET. I’ve heard it’s not the easiest thing
@@AlexAutomotiveCarReviews it’s definitely tough, I’ve only had success once so far, wish you the best of luck haha
Great job !
Imaculent review
If you knew anything about this car, you'd realise just how not "imaculent" the review is.
Did you upgrade to Android Auto/Apple CarPlay?
This was the signature trim, so it came with it!
Hi Alex. How much is this car?
Hey Hasan! It’s sadly not for sale anymore- Mazda axed it for 2022, I believe. But this model was in the $40k model range when new.
I think it’s a direct injected engine, I don’t think it’s a naturally aspirated. You mispronounced the sen wood. Though yes it has 250 horsepower and 310 lb pound ft of torque but that’s only when you put premium gas in it apparently.
with regular its just a few horsepower less
You’ve got a point, it’s certainly not naturally aspirated. It has a turbo! Misspoke there
Como estamos
320 not 310 lb feet of torque
That’s for the newer 2020 models. 2018 only had 310 at the time
Beautiful car. However, Mazda needs to catch up with technology. Good job with the video guys👍
i am not sure where you got this information. the ceo of toyota corporation has publicly said that mazda engine and suspension technology is way ahead of toyota.
Glasses ?
get a microphone
sorry man i don’t want to break your confidence but cheapshit mazda definitely isn’t a luxury car.
Luxury is not on the price of things but what it offers
