The John Eberhart Community Chorus was one of the BEST choirs in the Detroit area :). John was a song writer before his time. He taught, mentored, and loved his choir as his own family. I had the privilege to grow up under him and his choir as my extended family. I am grateful and blessed to be have known him. Betty Cousin (my mother) lead "Blessed Assurance and "Father Alone will know all About it". I will always love this choir/my family for the rest of my life. I love you Eberharts. Lazenith Cousin
Just a few are gone but not forgotten 😅😍 John Eberhard, Dr. Tony Cousin (aka Uncle Tony), Betty Cousin, Mary Vinson, Dorothy Vinson, Garnett Anderson, Uncle Duke, Virginia Mims, Floyd Huffman, Lorraine, Rev Mauldin, Big Fred, David Usher, Gwendolyn King, and Michael Suber. Many more who were not on this picture. This choir traveled to Europe, Germany, Ohio, Buffalo, NY, Kentucky, Mississippi and many more places to sing and make friends for life. You had to be there to experience the powerful voices of those angels🎼
I grew up in a small country church and i still remember my mother and grandmother singing this song many years ago!! one of my favorites!! i started humming this song the other day , i'm glad i found this so i could hear it and sing along. I havent heard it in a long time!!
Yeah, that's Mr. John Edmonds of Bowling Green, Kentucky! He was a big Clara Ward fan and he incorporated their style with his own group, John Edmonds & the Gospel Truth. Not sure if you're familiar with them, but I have posted a couple of their songs. There are also some other videos of John Edmonds on UA-cam in his later years. He's still around singing and playing.
Believe it or not, this is the pianist, the late Mr. John Edmonds, singing lead. He had his own group called The Gospel Truth, who recorded on the Nashboro label.
The best choir ever I remember the whole choir use to come to our home Mrs Virginia Mims ❤️ Grandma I miss you dearly
