Such a talent for putting a scent into words. I feel like I’ve smelt them just from listening
Havent smelled Profundo yet, but Profumo quite literally makes me weak in the knees. The first time I ever smelled it was when I visited the French Riviera back in 2015 and one night I was walking along the beach in Saint Raphael and a good looking older Frenchman was wearing it and that image has stuck in my head ever since. It's basically like the smell of the French Riviera in a bottle. Just gorgeous.
It does smell really great ...ive been debating on whether or not to buy Profumo .. and thanks to your “weak in the knees” comment I have decided to buy it 😂
It smells exactly as you describes and I agree when my husband puts this on it makes me weak.

Profondo for compliments and going out, profumo for work, professional or serious events. Profumo is the best and only cologne I'd recommend for work
I feel the same. Profumo to me smells almost a bit more formal to me and Profondo more casual
I think I love Profondo more but they both are amazing, honestly its pretty much profumo is fall/winter and profondo is spring/summer. I think they really knocked it out of the park with the new ADG
@Christopher Moore I had Profumo before and trust me, it’s best in winter. Yes it last all day but it’s very heavy, super strong so the cold winter kinda keep it cool, fresh. If you’re going to use Profumo during summer, please, drop only a few spray and I mean FEW. It’s strong asf.
I use Profumo during winter (some summer too)
Dior Savage during summer (24/7)
I think I’ll try Profondo now

Very well spoken! Genuinely enjoyed listening to your review. I love Profundo, originally I strayed away from the original ADG due to it being so common and wanting something a bit different. Sales guy really tried to sell me all 3 fragrances I had narrowed down to at the time (Armani code, Profundo, and YSL EDP. Ended up going with YSL EDP and received Profundo as a Christmas gift.) I’ll have to try the Profumo sometime, and definitely looking forward to doing so

The Profomo Black just Fits my natural scent very well. I got multiple complements from people and I didn't even put that much on. It would happen all the time. So I am ordering it very soon
I know i tried the original Acqua di Gio, which is a bit sinthetic to me, but I like it. But, the Profondo sounds great in terms of notes. Great video as always. Keep it up like this and...STAY SAFE!
I think the one on the table is Profumo Special Blend (black and golden colours) but in the pictures rolled on the screen is Profumo (black and grey).
I owned Profumo, I nevee owned Profumo Special Blend.
I will buy Profondo most probably.

Get the profumo special blend, you going it love. Is going to be a little difficult to find it in stores because it was special edition, may be you can find it online...

Armani aqua di gio profumo is the best it can be worn all year round at any event, Armani aqua di gio profondo has a soapy and body wash smell to it, seems more of a summer scent i can't think of any event to wear it in.
I love both.
I sprayed each of these on each of my rist and got my women to smell it.so her favourite fragrance was the original but then i got Profondo and it blew her away. I got her to smell these 2 fragrance and told her what one do you like the most. THAT ONE! She replied.
Her. This one smell amazing and the other one is stinks what it is.
Me. The one you said that stinks is actually your favourite 😂. Her new favourite is profumo

By all honesty, i like profuomo, but when i by accident tried profondo i really and all of a sudden grew fond of it more than the former one. Profondo has a very intriguing spicy, clean soapy type of vibe which is irresistible by all measures.

I really do like the profumo, I just bought a sample size from eBay to try it to see if I want to buy the full bottle next time and I absolutely love profumo, And now I just got me a sample of the profondo and I'm gonna try that and see how it smells to me

I tried Profondo on a test strip and it really made me think of Bulgari Aqua which ties me to think of Polo Deep Blue. An aquatic with the seaweed note giving it a darker feel.
Nice summary. I appreciate how you celebrate both fragrances rather than forcing a polarised stance on each (‘this one is good’ and ‘this one is bad’)
Got a sample of profondo and thought it was decent. Decided to try it again and I have no clue why I didn’t love it the first time it’s amazing
It's like that sometimes, I didn't like profumo at first but I put it on my skin when I sampled it for a second time and the dry down is absolutely addictive, gotta try this one, I might blind buy it.

Essenza....I got so many compliments on it, now I know that as long as it is a Parfum, it’ll last longer and change...a little more aquatic at the end. Essenza is my number 1, profondo is my closest to it. I’ll take it. I got a bottle of Armani Mania, that was a good scent also.
Essenza is my 2nd most complimented fragrance rand I own alot of fragrances I really hate they discontinued it i have two bottles left😔
Opposite is what keeps the world balanced. There is absolutely no way to say anything really is better than the other. Perfumery is probably up there in the most subjective things possible. Almost like cooking. What's better steak or chicken?
These two flankers are both epic. The Acqua Di Gio line is without a doubt the most selling fragrance of all time. The math and accounting don't lie.
For me, I really sway back and forth. I think as my palate or what I like and love has taken a full pivot. Honestly when I first smelled the original, I remembered thinking this is in the air more than oxygen so I wanted to not smell like everyone. As much as I liked it, I wanted a signature summer scent that was a little bit different than anything else.
I went with Armaf Sillage, and Bentley Silverlake. Both have a fresh summer scent and both of those last a decade more than most aquatic scents. Especially the Sillage, which is a very good clone of Creed's Silver Mountain Water.
After buying the new Parfum I am totally crazy for the line. I think time has tested these and they are as good now as they were awile ago.

Both are excellent scents, but in my opinion Acqua di Gio perfume is more suitable for cold winters .. and deep Gio water is more suitable for spring and summer

I wore the OG back in the day and I've worn Profumo for several years. I really enjoy Profumo but it has become too familiar on me. Profondo is a nice change for an everyday scent.

Honestly I prefer Profondo and it isn’t even close. I like the sweetness of Profondo much more then the more soapy/patchouli smell of Profumo. While both are solid fragrances I believe, I think I can see myself letting go of my Profumo bottle since I don’t wear it often

Y’all I need an honest opinion what do you think about the two fragrances? I’m in my early 20s and debating on which one to get. Unfortunately In Southern California fragrance related shops like Macy’s aren’t open still. Any opinions? And if it helps I tend to not really like those leather/barbershop/powder scents
Hey Steven I have a question for you. I still have somewhat of a rookie nose when it comes to fragrances and I’m having a hard time connecting a certain note. Its a note that is found in the original green Polo and Profumo. You get it right at the opening of Profumo, it’s very sharp and pierces right through. I want to say the note is reminiscent of old shool manly fragrances.

Smelled both today. The Profumo does smell smokey. Maybe the incense/sage, because it reminds me of
a catholic mass. The Profondo was more refreshing, shower clean scent.

Excellent review Steven as always I wanna try again one Acqua de Gio I like the original when I was young like 15 years old or less but know for some reason I don’t like it anymore maybe because the clone Perry Ellis but I really like the absolu version but never buy I never try Profumo or profondo let’s see the battle :)
I try profundo for a week and for me it's straight aquatic from the opening To the dry down, but i fond it realy energizing it realy weak me up and get me more focus for my work day !

I like Profondo, to me it has similarities with Percival, but more watery, and while Percival contains amroxan, Profondo gives to me an Iso E Super vibe in the drydown, don't know if it is the mastique.
Percival is more aromatic, and that's why i love it.
So I actually have Sauvage and Percival. I love both! I’m going to Florida in July and wanted something more aquatic or clean/citrusy smelling like artisan pure and blvgari avqa amara. I plan on bringing artisan pure with me on the trip as I own a bottle, but the avqa amara is a bit too synthetic smelling for me to buy. I’m debating on buying profumo or profondo. I’m not sure which one to get. I’ve tried profumo before and thought it was nice, but didn’t buy a bottle. I’m a 19 almost 20 year old guy, but I’m mature for my age. I’ve seen people say profumo is for older people instead of younger, so I’m not sure which one to get...
@@mikecapalungan Profondo is fresher, fruitier (mandarine orange very detectable in the opening) and more easy-going. Profumo is darker, more versatile in colder weather, but slightly more mature because of the patchouli and the incense. If you want something that gives a "clean" vibe, profondo is the one you are looking for. I find it to have something in common with Percival, kind of a softer cousin.

wow you seem really informative when it comes to fragrances lol. I've only smelled ADG once im my life and it was probably around 15 years ago so im guessing it was Profumo. Im really picky when it comes to cologne and I have stuck to what i know for sure that i like the scent of mostly my whole life. I've always either gotten Cool Water or here in the past decade Chrome by Azarro. i think im gonna give Profumo a try next time i pick up some cologne, because even though it was 15 years ago i do remember quite enjoying the scent lol. I'd like to dabble is cologne fragrances and get accustomed to them as you have.
well i actually went to the mall today and compared the 2. I ended up getting the profondo. they both had a great scent, but there was just something extra about the profondo that I really enjoyed. especially since I spent $100 on a 2.5 oz bottle! holy crap this stuff is expensive! lol.
I still love the original one the best. Just because it smells like pure freshness

Jackson Belch i own both and the profondo doesnt smell anything like the lighblue intense, it smells like the original ADG better or the initial smell of the profumo when 1st sprayed without the incense and patchouli drydown, asked girls and they like profondo better than profumo.

Just came from Nordstrom and inside I put the Profumo on my left wrist and Profondo on the right. Profondo was gone a while ago and Profumo is still there.

@@whatitisnt. It lasted about 5 hours at a good intensity and at 8 hours I could sniff and smell it a bit. I'm not sure what's better though, Acqua di Gio Profumo's incense base note or Armani Code Profumo's Cardamom base note?
Profumo can be felt for 10 hours, Profondo 8. Not a big difference and Profondo smells much better!
Profumo... more versatile. For me ACD Profumo just has that magic touch, first blind buy for me also when it first came out. The private blend of the Profumo is also another gem.

I absolutely love Profumo. However within the fragrance community I see a lot of hate for Profumo, which I'm guessing just because it's popular. Just like Sauvage, it's not a super-natural smelling fragrance, but that doesn't mean it's bad.

How similar are profondo and light blue intense ? Are the similar enough that I only need one, or are they completely different?
Smells very different but serve the same purpose. Profondo smells blue with sea notes and ambroxan. Lb intense smells zesty Italian citrus
So I have 22 I recently won ADG profumo in a raffle, and I am excited as hell, BUT, I normally hear that profumo is more mature and stuff like that, it is any danger that somebody tells me that I smell like a senior?
