    I use those same clips on my trotlines. Old hands need all the help they can get. Thank you for the lesson.

    I think I saw the second half of this video a year or two ago. I used to keep the divers in trash cans but i'd always get tangles. So last year I tried your style with one of my long lines and loved it. Needless to say all my long lines are now in bags and set up just like how you do yours. Can't wait for the season... Thank you for sharing

    Why not tie the decoys directly to the mother line? What is the purpose of the drop down clips if you're going to keep the dekes attached to the mother line?

    • @JeffCoats
      @JeffCoats  3 роки тому

      At the least you need swivels… if not the decoys will spin and the energy him the dropper will twist it around the main line. Clips also help if you have a tangle, unclip, pull out, fix the mess and then reclip. Makes it easy to swap out decoys too, ones that are shot etc.

      Jeff Coats, in the video after the last decoy loop, I watched you wind up your line 9 times at about 3’ each pull putting it at about 27’. My question is 2 parts,
      1. If your in 50ft. Water do you add line, or how do you adjust your set up to deeper depths?
      2. What is your method of finding out your depths in a new spot (though I’m sure you have a lot of regular spots)?
      Thanks for your time
