I have been watching quite a few of your tutorials and find your instructions so easy to follow for my beginner talents. Thank you for these because they are the most clear of any I've found and just maybe I can do it too.
Hello….you can do it 😀 I hope you are continuing to enjoy your painting. I had a bit of a break over the summer but more time now to paint on the dull rainy days we seem to be having a lot of here in Wales ☹️
I’ve been looking for an easy to understand technique to paint trees in watercolor for a long time without success until I found yours. Thanks Wendy! You have the gift of transmitting your knowledge in such a way that makes sense, it’s easy to understand and not intimidating for a complete beginner like me. Please keep posting videos 🙏 ! If u get to see this I’d like to know which brand/type of light box you use to transfer the sketches , that’s something that I need to get and can’t decide which one to buy.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. I use a A4 size light box but you can get them bigger. Look on Amazon and if I remember I paid between £20 - £30. There is an Amazon choice on there at present which would do the job 😀
Lovely. Hope to have a go at this. I would also like to learn to watercolour overhanging hawthorn shrubs, ie creating the greenery and the thick bunch of wild flowers. Also a horse chestnut tree with the flowers
Thank you for your videos Wendy. I am new to watercolour and really want to do landscapes so watching these is teaching me so much. Can't wait to try the techniques shown.
Valerie Varrell a synthetic/sable mix usually or just synthetic. Best not to use a brush that holds a lot of paint for this technique and not too big. A number 6 is always a safe bet or 8 for larger paintings up to A4.
This was great.
Thank you 😀👍
