I love the game a lot and I’m kinda new but rn in my world no one is saying anything on the radio and it’s not damaged and I finished all the other missions so I don’t know what to do
@@georgefarag7251 do you have any location you are required to go to? and if aurora has exploded, did you go visit it yet? and have you gone to the 2 islands yet?
YES!!! My favorite playthrough I have ever watched was your subnautica series, and I've been getting back into it and I'm so happy to see you back at this
What I love about Subnautica is the character in the first game is clearly an electrical engineer and the character from the second game is clearly a botanist and you can tell this by what the two characters have and can craft. Also, I feel that the Prawn armor was stronger in OG Subnautica vs. Below Zero.
I just finished below zero and yeah the prawn is terrible. There’s no need for it at all. It’s slower than the sea truck and less manageable, plus the game only goes to 1000m anyway
Subnautica looks good to this day because of its art style. I think this is one of those games that simply nailed the visuals and made them almost timeless. I love subnautica but i am looking forward to seeing you work a little more on Nova Lands too.
Love the aesthetic of subnautica, though you can definitely see how dated the graphics are if you remove water fog or even just go on land. But honestly that stuff doesn't really bother me cause Subnautica is one of my top 3 games ever.
Important checklist - Game has one save. Option in accessibility to pause when using ipad. For extinguisher is unlimited prior to initial ipad not. It will be full. Medicine cabinet to continue to produce those healing packs. Grab fish with hand for tood. Grab bladder fish for water. (I did not know how to catch fish my first time playing even after scanning them. No clue how to catch them.) 5 things to craft immediately using only titanium and rubber. Knife, O2 tank, fins, chest, air bladder (using fish). Air bladder is a life saver early-mid game. Hotkey to it and r-clock to shoot to surface. Use lowest battery to craft anything that requires battery as ingredient. If crafted item comes with a battery, it will be fully charged. Repair tool gives a battery despite not needed for crafting. Avoid scanning additional blueprint fragments to not waste battery. It will just give titanium. Search debris near Aurora to get pro-cannon blueprints. Should be crafted before going to Aurora.. Bring pro-cannon, fire extinguisher, and repair tool at least if going to Aurora. Buildings have hull integrity. Adding more to a base will make it leak more. Use reinforcement like foundation when building larger.
Love this game so much and glad to see it coming back. In an interview with the devs, they were specifically asked why there were no weapons in the game, and they said it was an intentional design choice. Design stages started around the same time as the Sandy Hook Massacre and it felt like it was inappropriate to bring more guns to the world, even if they were virtual. They also intended to make the game more like the horror genre of games and focus on avoidance rather than confrontation. The voice log about Abraxus Prime is a nod to this reasoning while giving the player an in-lore explanation as to why they aren't allowed to go Duke Nukem on this planet.
That Grav trap is more useful than people think. If you are in a lava tube and resources are just out of reach...pop out the grave trap and see if it will pick it up. The grav trap said it was for fish and LIGHT objects.
There are several spawn locations, all within the shallows of course. Really glad to see you play this again. It may not be the newest game, and yes, it still has it's bugs. But it definitely is a masterpiece of game design.
Seaglide is an 2 part blueprint, you picked up one at the beginning :D Glad to see you've started the Subnautica series, it will be awsome I already see :D
The massacre on obraxis prime was an in universe explanation for why they have no guns in the game. The real reason is that the game was released close to when the sandy hook shooting happened, so for obvious reasons, they have no guns in the game.
3:40 Pretty sure the charector and you don't know until you repair the life pod which scans the environment and then the PDA says something like no considerable landmass within range.
3:30 because five seconds before you where here your here happily in space over a giant water world, wouldn't be surprised if your ship had a few windows.
YES LETS GO Z1! You know whats funny is that i’m also currently playing it, although im already a few hours in. Please finish the series though and even (maybe) play below zero!
You're playthrough that released 2 years ago is how I ended up beating it this year. It's a fantastic game that once you understand some of the basic stuff and start exploring, it's truly one of a kind
My major issue with below zero was the loss of the larger sub. Also, you never find your sisters body, you just stop looking for her... Clearly having the Alien in your head is affecting you in the game but, they never cover it!
Subnautica is amazing, graphics are beyond eceptional creating an environment truly impressive to swim through. as with pretty much all games, storage is always a pain and you'll NEVER have enough!
The one time i saw an irl seaglide was at a natural springs. I kept hearing this whirring noise underwater and it was driving me crazy just to find out that it was one of those in the distance. Moral of the story: Irl seaglides are very loud underwater, but quiet out of the water.
You CAN save the Sunbeam. I did. All you need to do is to NOT fix the radio (or at least not answer any call) until Gun Island has been shut down. If you do, the Sunbeam... not telling, but it's fun.
I recently discovered Subnautica for the first time, but I'm really scared of scary stuff (my wife had me watch Stranger Things and that was a _giant_ nope). Your earlier series (2020) has been immensely helpful in being about to enjoy the game. My kids ask me all the time if we can watch Z1 Subnautica. Great stuff.
Nice to see that you are playing a favorite game of mine that I helped officially playtest from nearly the beginning of development to the final version. Even got my name in the credits. Started off my YT channel with playthroughs showing off new developments and tech, as well as just goofing off with spawning. Got my name in the sequel as well, "Below Zero", though I only helped in the very early days of that one. Unfortunately, there are still a good many bugs that I reported for the first game that weren't fixed the last time I was in the game, and that was a least half a year ago, but they were not game breakers, just graphically ugly. Neebs Gaming, a must-watch channel, did a playthrough of "Subnautica" as well, going full on character acting it out. Very dedicated guys to their humor craft and they even got two vocal character roles in the game as well.
18:31 Well, the good news is that you only have to wait 11.4 years. If we assume that a day on 4546B is the same 24 hour period as galactic standard then as the player it should only take 1,388.9 real world hours (about 58 real days) of gameplay for the rescue ship to arrive.
I think what attracts me to the first Subnautica is discovery is necessary to survive and its very open world, below zero feels more mission driven. Sometimes i'll start a new game just for those early game vibes.
When you get a propulsion cannon you can pick up some of the small wreck parts, as well as things in the QEP that you shouldn’t be able to move at all (at the purple tablet inside). Also, you can fly using an ion cube. (Grab it, look down, then start walking forward and look forward at the same time. If you stop walking you fall).
LOL, I've been thinking about "driving back in" again, myself. Subnautica is a great game. I bought the early access version on PC, and the release version on Xbox. Have fun!
The "massacre on obraxus prime" I think references a real life massacre, and because it was recent they removed weapons because it was a sensitive subject. I'm not completely sure, but I think that's what it means.
Just started my second play through on pc , found it on Xbox game pass like a year ago decided it looked cool , never I’m my life did I realise how immersive it would be ❤
I swear every time I consider picking an old game back up, I get on UA-cam and see that you have started a new playthrough of it. How can I not play Subnautica again now 🤣
Saving the sunbeam would probably require you to build an advanced radio, the one you have can receive transmissions but not send them. Which doesn’t make sense considering every other lifepod sends transmissions. Second you’d need to uncover critical information downloads from the QEP and the Aurora’s logs of the attack that the Sunbeam has to stay outside its attack range.
It's quite unfortunate that I still remember all the locations of anything even remotely dangerous and how to avoid or get around said things I can't avoid meeting... you basically can go the whole game without seeing reapers, mesmers or even ghost levi's if you know exactly where they are. You can't avoid seeing Warpers, Sea Emperors, Stalkers and Crash Fish though. Bone sharks are incredibly aggressive, but you can find most of what you need in areas they don't occupy. Sand sharks aren't too incredibly dangerous by the time you meet them, just stay away from where they are minding their own business. Crab Squids are a toss up and won't do anything if you ignore them and turn off your lights, unless you shine a light in their face or go near them on purpose. Fanged Danger Noodles aren't too aggressive in the jellyshroom caverns, just don't attract attention and always be near your Seamoth. Getting the Prawn out of jellyshroom is hard without upgrades. I tend to build my base to the northeast of the entrance to jellyshroom caves. Bloodsucker parasites are only if you want to stop the radiation pollution of an already dying ocean, probably should do it on principle and have a knife ready for them. Cave crawlers are always annoying pests, gravity gun them into deep water. Hardcore is actually relatively easy to beat, provided you know exactly what your doing and not trying to Gasopod a Reaper to death with a Prawn gun after using stasis on it. I eventually had a successful run where that happened, ghost levis are much harder to Gasopod. Also I don't care what the game says, I'm always going to take my cuddle buddy with me into space.
YES ANOTHER ROUND OF SUBNAUTICA!, really needed a bit more of subnautica in my life, and not old subnautica stuff lol, keep up the good work Z1 [ps im not 2 days late :D]
The onabraxis prime thingy it's a reference to the school shooting that happend in the same year as the production of subnautica so they made it so no guns were in game
I was just wanting to come back to subnautica and I wanted a UA-cam video in the background of me playing it and I didn't realize you just posted a video
If i'm right there is only a knife because Unknown Worlds Entertainment had worked on Natural Selection 2, and they had enough or were tired of guns and wanted to do something light and made subnautica
I just saw Media Markt's Titan sale with Subnautica + Logitech F710 controller and gave it a chuckle. Then I turned on youtube right after and Z1 plays Subnautica. Can't script this :D
The Ocean, one of the cruel mistresses..... she can be calm and beautiful, full of color an life, and in an instant become dark and cold, frightening and foreboding as maelstroms, hurricanes, typhoons and tsunamis and thunderstorms rage across her form... bringing much death, and rejuvenating of much life. She commands healthy respect, both for herself and the people who go down with net and snorkel, to take a risk to claim some of her bounty.
Ever try the multiplayer mod? It works surprisingly well. Only real problem I had, was when friends would randomly get ejected from the cyclops unless they were seated. I put a couple chairs in there and the problem was solved.
So, I watched the 9 available parts for this version of your walk through before getting this on my Nintendo Switch. Since I'm new I was actively listening to the radio during my save file and accidentally started the Sunbeam event thankfully I had saved the game a short period before that. Sadly the save was before I'd found the other half of the Biogenerator. I remember it was in a bunch of red kelp sadly as I get to that area I'm hearing a freaking Leviathan so I have to be careful and I'm scared out of my mind when I hear them. I mean sure you can kill them with the right tools, Stasis Rifle and the knife, but I don't want to risk losing my Seamoth. Anyways, I was freaking out initially at the Sunbeams touch down until I remembered I hadn't saved the game, so I exited and loaded it back up. I turned around and found a Time Capsule that actually had a Laser cutter in it thank the stars I don't have to go hunting for diamond just yet.
I just saw some dev pics of Sub3 in Unreal Engine 5. Its gonna look so dope. Until the sun goes down. UE5 lighting engine is an absolute black hole for light source coverage/spillover. At night, its prob gonna look like 500m when we're still at 5m. Base components look so dope, im probably just gonna admire them till morning😂
Unfortunately the ending doesn’t change. If you deactivate the weapon platform before Sunbeam arrives, the captain just reports that the orbital debris field is too dense to land.
Subnautica is just fantastic! Its never too much
Gonna finally try to beat it once I get my new pc, cant wait for max graphics and getting scared
@@Turmoose lol, good luck! hope you can beat it (i would say try to not get scared, but getting scared is half the fun of it)
