1968 Plymouth Commercial - Full Line with Petula Clark

This is a nearly 2-minute long commercial for the entire line of 1968 Plymouth cars. The new advertising slogan for the 1968 Plymouth's was "The Plymouth Win You Over Beat Goes On" with the music jingle based on the Sonny & Cher hit "The Beat Goes On." This '68 campaign was a continuation of the successful '67 ad effort "Plymouth Is Out To Win You Over This Year." For '68, pop singer and "Downtown" chart buster Petula Clark was commissioned as spokesperson, appearing - and singing - in numerous spots for Plymouth. Petula would receive a Clio Award (the Ad Industry version of an Oscar) for Best Female Spokesperson in an ad-campaign for her work for Plymouth. Go Petula!
