Great bass fishing on Potomac river

Guide Brian Barnes and I Bass fish the Smallwood State Park area of the Potomac River, my old stooping grounds for I grew up in Maryland! We thought there would be a good frog and worm bite but the Chatterbait and spinner bait were on fire instead! Lots of bass in the 2 1/2-4 1/2 pound range hitting on the outside edges of the many grass beds in about 3-6 feet of water! This year there is more grass than I've ever seen in my 60 of fishing the Potomac and my more bass as well!

I remember a bass masters where Roland went up river and jigged bridges for big smallies, from 14th Street Bridge north to Memorial and Key Bridge.
