Fantastic version with the solos integrated seamlessly! As Glen said always a joy to see Derek Day playing with YOYOKA, and great to meet him at YOYOKA’s concert last weekend.
@@gbulmerit was truly a magical experience. Meeting up again with my friend Glen Black and meeting live with fans Byron and Danster was great, as well as other fans. Having Rie run across the room into my arms was really special. The love everyone there especially the musicians have for YOYOKA was palpable. After the show all the musicians hung out to chat , YOYOKA took photos and signed stuff for at least an hour. I met Ai and her dad and the next day ran into to them at LAX as I was flying home to YYZ. Best vacation I have had in decades!
Great job everyone! Nice to see YOYOKA able to work some mini solos into the covers! Great job, as always! Always love seeing YOYOKA and Derek Day together! So nice to meet you, Derek, at YOYOKA's awesome 15th Birthday performance show! You're very talented, and just a nice cool dude! Am looking forward to seeing you and YOYOKA together, off and on, for many years to come!
@@namorlam Hi Namorlam. Boy did I! Got to see Rob Yule again, met some other YOYOKA fans for lunch (Byron Butterfield and Danster). Of course, they were great, kind of have to be if you're a YOYOKA fan. Besides Derek Day, also got to meet Marco Mendoza, very cool guy and he loves YOYOKA and wants to play with her some more! Saw Paulie Z and got a quick small group photo with him. Got to speak to Ai Furasato and her father for a couple minutes. Such an awesome talent. YOYOKA was phenomenal, as you would expect. Sat there on her throne (without a break for two hours) and introduced all the various groups and band members as they rotated on and off the stage. What a trouper. The venue was superb. I read they had invested about $1 Mil in sound and stage equipment (if I remember correctly). Sound could not have been better, thanks to the venue, YOYOKA and AKI! Their encore, was YOYOKA's new band, "Knockout" with two original songs written by the vocalist. Very impressive for their first live performance together as a new band. Did you watch it online?
@@namorlam Thanks! Her concert is available online. I will gift you a ticket if you're interested. If not, that's fine. Just let me know. It's only available a few more days.
Phew what a performance by Yoyoka and what can I say about her solo at the end of Led Zep, Rock'n Roll, it's crazy I thought I was hearing Bonzo it was so spectacular.
It just gives me joy to see Yoyoka sit behind a strange kit with a bunch of musicians she has probably never played with, and then nail her performance. Amazing! 😎👍
i've been a Zepplin fanatic since the late 70s and I've seen a lot of bands, including The White with Michael White..he always had decent musicians with him. Now there are so many Zepplin tribute bands! This video speaks loudly that you don't have to dress the part to play the part, these two songs performed by this band were fantastic! Singer is not trying to be Robert Plant, the guitarist and bassist not trying to be Jimmy page or John Paul Jones....nor is the drummer who blew me away, trying to be John Bonham as well! For a 15 year-old to come in and play like that, unbelievable… She sounded phenomenal !!! She had that kick pedal in motion during Good Times Bad Times and rock 'n' roll as well, i've seen some of her videos, extremely impressive !! Awesome job by the whole band, you all sounded fantastic !!!!!🇨🇦🇮🇹
Cool! I always wanted to hear Yoyoka playing Zeppelin's Rock'N'Roll, Bonham did an amazing job on that song (well, Bonham is ALWAYS amazing on any LZ song just like Yoyoka is amazing on everything she plays) 🎵🥁🥢
**That drummer KILLED IT! His triplets were Perfect!** Excellent cover guys! **UPDATE** I wrote that comment after watching for a few minutes, but then noticed it was Yoyoka! Of course!
*_Fabulous_* Another Yoyoka "Special Delivery of Rock". I almost didn't recognise Derek Day without his 'magic socks'. Great performance everyone especially the "Go Go" dancers. Best Wishes to All the Band. ☮ _PLEEEEASE_ try to record the audio direct from the mixing desk.
If I were fronting this group I would have asked the audience "Have you ever wondered what it would be like to hear Bonzo playing as a kid? Well welcome to our show."
In ancient Indian wisdom Vedas, Soma means.. the pure nectar of consciousness that Gods enjoys because it gives them strength. Her drumming has that same ancient hypnotic vibe.. that homosepians discovered after recently forming civilization.
I heard the Zepp do this in 1969 at Fillmore West! That was the night when the musical gods visited planet Earth. It is still etched in my brain. Today I am 79. Life is been one hell of an adventure. Shortly after I heard the Zepp I went into the mountains and meditated in the cave until I awakened from the sleep of dreams.
I saw Led Zep do these songs at the Fillmore East, in the Village, 1968, for $3, along with Delanie & Bonnie & Friends...oh, and Woody Herman's orchestra.
How has she not got in contact with Deane Ogden yet? He's in the area. He's drummed for a who's who of famous musicians and is now a film composer. He could open so many doors for her.
It's her dad, Aki. I think It's perfectly good as is. I actually prefer it being a little way back as you get a bit more sense of the atmosphere than you would sat right at the front. I'm just grateful they record and share as much of her playing as they do.
YOYOKA has just released and performed her 1st album of 14 numbers, playing the drum parts of all tracks. She is at home with every musical genre and includes her ideas in each. Her right foot is particularly useful. These two numbers are not being played faithfully, she adds her ideas seamlessly. She plays what the song tune and circumstances best need. A professional approach.
In her improvised solos you can see a personal style developing, but she is an absolute chameleon on the drums. She is able to adapt to any style as Andrew says. When she adds to any cover we call it the YOYOKA effect where she improves on the original. On the 2 jazz albums she has recorded with Ken Okada group she basically creates all the drum tracks herself following the needs of the song.
I hope the band realizes what an honor it is to play with the world renown Yoyoka ;) .
Frank wrote a song and played on Yoyokas debut album and Derek have played with Yoyo at numerous locations - including NAMM and Whisky a go go
Yoyoka hearing you play is the gift that keeps on giving! 🔥 Thank you!
Not so much the band...

Simes is on her record. They know each other, which most likely isn't true for the complete band.
Yoyoka played with Derek Day (in blue) at NAMM and the Whisky a gogo. Derek was at her birthday concert!
Awesome to see you play in clubs!

Rock Star Performance
wow, this is a Bonafide rock in roll band. HAPPY 15th BIRTHDAY, YOYOKA!!!
Hard to believe it's been fifty years since I saw Led Zeppelin play Rock and Roll live! 😮
If I were fronting this group I would have asked the audience "Have you ever wondered what it would be like to hear Bonzo playing as a kid? Well welcome to our show."
Been watching Yoyoka's videos since she was 8. 😁
Nice! yoiyoka return to roots
She really plays every genre of music.
That’s pretty good. 🙌🏽👍🏽👏🏽🤘🏽
The guy keeps saying its her birthday. Yoyoka was playing like this since she was a very little girl...
Inegualable el rakatak de Yoyoka. Grande Yoyoka!!
❤
She can conquer the world.
Great show and the little mistakes are what makes live shows the best, shows that it's really live and not backing track.

Her drumming has that same ancient hypnotic vibe.. that homosepians discovered after recently forming civilization.
Wow, Yoyoka with 15 Years 👏👏👏👏👏👏
That was a great jam. Great job Yoyoka. Bonzo is not an easy act to copy. Great job on that groove
NICE👌
At this stage Led Zeppelin is easy for Yoyoka.
Now, that's a crowd that knows how to have fun! Don't worry, Rock is very forgiving of "messed up" intros! Lots of fun!
Can’t say it any better than the lady at the end taking to Yoyokas parents.

Yoyoka gels well with youngsters, gels well with the daddies and everyone in between.
How has she not got in contact with Deane Ogden yet? He's in the area. He's drummed for a who's who of famous musicians and is now a film composer. He could open so many doors for her.
She killed the last number. Old folks couldn't help but dance like fools.
The camera person could of gotten alot closer to the stage so we could see Yoyoka wail away on the drums don't you think?! 👍

Robert Plant watched her play this at 8yrs.old and was amazed.
"You're a drummer? Ok, make the audience dance, that's what you get paid for."
Heard it somewhere... 😄
Those women at the front table are in an alternate universe.
Awesome as always!
If you get bored... try My Wife by The Who
Fun fact - the singer/lead guitar that you're watching here, Frank Simes, was for a while (still is?) musical director for The Who.
@@mavenbc What a coincidence. I did not know that. Love The Who!
Great job on Good Times Bad Times but it coulda used more cowbell ! 😉
I want to hear Out on the Tiles! lol

cowbell!!!
Kid's stuff for Yoyoka
I don’t think the older folks in the audience have any idea what they just witnessed. But they had fun.
Does she have a style of her own?

ドラムは勿論、他のパーツも上手いし、サウンドもグ―!…それだけにボーカル&コーラスが残念…若い高音ボーカリストを探した方が…
yeah, that intro, courageous to load it up, though.😷🫣
