They released two other Kids Rock For Kids recordings with the exact same group earlier in the year this year. A version of Boston's Peace Of Mind & a version of Muse's Hysteria. I too was already into Ellen & Yoyoka but the rest of the kids were a real revelation. I follow all of them now!
I am blown away. They nailed this. All of them; drums, bass, rhythm & lead and then... the vocals- the vocals would make the Wilson sisters proud. I LOVE the fact that these kids are playing REAL Rock & Roll and they are having a ball.
DAMN!!!....This girl's got some pipes!!!!! So...very close to original tones while spitting a spin....SWEET!.... ALL that said....bass, lead, drums.....they NAILED THIS!
Every kid in this band is great. I still can't get over how Yoyoka continues to play head and shoulders above most people she performs with. Her playing is impeccable. I am a Heart aficionado and have seen may seasoned drummers take short cuts when performing this song. Yoyoka has performed this better than anyone I have ever seen. Michael Derosier is a beast and the most overlooked performer in Heart without a doubt.
The return of the Hokkaido Hammer and Ellen in force and what a pleasure to hear these young people play together again. Long live rock in its purest state. Real candy to consume without moderation.

They're all in the same age group, and if Charlotte is anything to judge by they should be fantastic. They're scheduled to perform at Yoyoka's birthday on October 13th. I can't wait.
Magnificent cover of a classic rock tune! A vocal benchmark for female rock vocalists and this young woman owned this song. Yoyoka and Ellen A. driving the bus with Ellen throwing some tasty embellishments in there! Exceptional musicianship all around!
All the kids are incredible, but Vinya's vocals are so big and front and center, and taking on some of the greatest rock singers ever, that it's hard to not be absolutely blown away! She has a great way of hitting the big notes that are such waypoints to the song, but adds the perfect little touches and phrases that make it her own. What a talent!
That's what I love about this collaboration and especially this song, because since they're not trying to match the song note for note the final result is even more enjoyable.

THEE best cover I ever heard. These kids kick A$$. The ladies of HEART would be so impressed by this, and I hope they get to view this. Everyone was on their game with this. Great guitar shredding by the two of them, drummer beating those drums like they owed him money and that tasty Bass lick by the fun sized girl. LOVE IT. I grew up playing in garage bands in Oak Cliff, Dallas, Grand Prairie Texas jamming with Stevie and Jimmie V back when we were in High School dreaming of being Rock stars----I got as far as the club circuits all over Texas but everyone else made it except for me . A car accident crushed my hands and could not play anymore. I tried years later and PT etc. but by then the it was over for me. Stevie and Jimmie made it as did Bugs Henderson, John Nitzinger...... These Kids are far ahead of kids in our day.....we did not have schools that taught heavy rock music. Take advantage and learn as much as you can but also dont make it a grind....do it to enjoy it
