Great video! My family and I are considering traveling to Narbonne next year and came across this buffet on the internet. I just wanted to ask, do the workers speak decent English? I have a feeling it's hit or miss, but maybe I can learn a decent bit of French in the meantime haha.
No they do not speak a lick of English. My husband asked for the fillet of beef and the chef had a heart attack! haha We just went last week. Don't stay at hotel du midi in narbonne either. horrible place. Be aware that it is hard to get a taxi also. Things we learned. :)
What amazed me is to see old focus doing what they do best (cooking). Unfortunately, in USA , 90% of food establishment are treating worker as disposable , once you reach 40, you will.become invisible and unacceptable to the consumers. Look when you go to dine, see what average ages of workers or servers or cashiers .
People usually have increasing financial responsibilities as they age. In the US, many service sector positions earn minimum wage. For positions receiving tips, hourly rate is even less. Don't expect to see folks treat a position as permanent when the pay is doesn't permit it.
un buffet qui donne plus qu'en vie un personnel nickel et un bel établissement
Impressionnant…
Félicitations et respect au patron et aux personnels pour leur professionnalisme..
Dommage que l'on a pas cela en Belgique
Great video!

Thank you so much for the insight!
I'll keep these things in mind!
Much appreciated. :)
Do you have to be guest at the hotel to have access to dine ?
No need, you just simply make your reservation online. Make sure you do it in advance! Everyday is busy like a carnival 😅
There is no hotel. It is a restaurant. We just went there last week.
@@CatNodais true that they serve caviar ? And what your score on deserts ? Thank you
