- Local 4 has been telling you it was coming for months, and now we finally know how Netflix plans to crack down on password sharing. It involves your home’s internet connection and a monthly check-in.
I will just end my subscription. We don't need them, they need us.

I pay for multiple screens. As long as it doesn’t go over those number of screens, it shouldn’t matter where those screens are located
Ok because I was wondering what if the laptop is portable? And you can’t bring it over if you’re doing a watch party?? Forcing the laptop to stay in your address, yeah that would get me to not want Netflix.

There’s a chance it ends up losing subscribers. People get the warning, ignore it and lose their account. Then they just get used to using Amazon or Hulu or others they probably already have. Many people are looking to get rid of some of their monthly subscriptions, it’s probably why Netflix is feeling the need to do this in the first place. This could be a bad decision.

@@bionicwoman9884 I think that’s worldwide and it’s now just getting popular in some countries, I didn’t consider that in my assessment. The US market might have shrunk, not sure.
I've been a subscriber since the days of just DVD. I kept my mouth shut after the multiple rate hikes. I have children that stay with their mom 1 week then with me 1 week. I will cancel before I give them anymore money than I'm already doing.
Loads of families especially military families will be screwed over by this.
10 different streaming services nowadays. I'm thinking it's going to be cheaper to back to cable.

Can’t travel for over a month if you don’t want your account blocked. Smh. It has to ping at your home within 30days for each device using the account. This is silly. Might as well just get cable
thats what I'm sayin... how are you supposed to travel. How do you watch on your mobile, or at work, or at a family members house. They designed the password sharing system in the first place.
Pure arrogance to think they can monitor their users movements...
But I have my netflix login on my home system, my office system, and on my laptop when I travel... and periodically on my phone... and so do my wife and son who live with me. So how will they accomodate that?
I never log in on my TV at home. My phone or tablet. I have no home internet all my devices have unlimited. And I help care for my mom so I log in on her tv all the damn time so we can watch it when I'm there caring for her. That's bs. Especially since I pay for the damn premium and have for ever.

time their subscription to their favorite shows new seasons. So if you have 2-3 Netflix shows you absolutely have to watch
people will only subscribe for 3-4 months a year.

I share my Netflix with my aunt she lives in San Francisco, she’s elderly and on a budget,I’m at work and barely watch it but if that’s how they want to handle it I’ll just cancel no big deal, they are going to loose thousands of costumers with this greedy plan, they should want people to share and help one another !!!!

I only use it for a couple of months in winter. I figure the premium package about $40 for 2 months is worth not being bored the last couple of months of winter in Vermont.

The only reason I haven't canceled netflix yet is because my sister in law will watch it from time to time and i haven't watched it in months.

This is DUMB! I feel like if you pay for the premium subscription that allows 4 screens to watch, it shouldn't matter WHERE those 4 screens are, as long as you pay for them.

Netflix sucks d anyways they dont get a movie until its old af by then most have it on dvd..except for the netflix specials which are subpar at best..i ONLY use it cause my people let me use there password..so f netflix ill just stop watchin it all together..they will lose massive subs from this move..
