Hi Sara, since I’m relatively new to your channel, I went back and listened to your very first video. First of all you do not look like you are 37 years old, you may be 38 right now since that was six months ago. Second of all, although I do believe that the ideal for a child is a mother and father unit, having said that-if I were in your position, I would want to do the exact same thing you are doing. I would not want to give up my dream of becoming a mother, with the hope that the right person will come along, because as we know, there are no guarantees in life. And who knows… The right partner for you could be just around the corner, but if he isn’t, you are on your way to realizing your dream of becoming a mommy. I herd the heartbeat at my 12 week ultrasound and then at all my appointments after that. You’ll hear it soon enough. What a great start to a beautiful pregnancy ♥️

At 6-7 weeks pregnant the fetal heart rate should be 90-110 So 108 is great.

Oh how lucky! I didn't get my 1st ultrasound until 12 weeks! I'm so glad you got it before then, it was such a long wait. It's so fun being able to see them with you. Mom and I feel like we have a friend who's pregnant. 🥰

Ahh so exciting to see. I recently found out I am pregnant as well and I am just a few days ahead of you I think! When I went in I also only saw the heartbeat and I don’t go back until week 12 where she said I will be able to hear it with the abdominal ultrasound. ❤️❤️

I think it really depends on your clinic and where you live. I live in North Dakota. My clinic that we used for all of our rounds of IVF have let us see and hear the heartbeat. First baby we saw/heard the heartbeat at 5w 6d and with this baby we got to at 7w 2d. Both of them were the first ultrasounds for each baby. It really is just amazing!

Yeah I think it’s the tech you get because my friend goes to the same clinic and her tech let her hear the heartbeat but she was at the main fertility clinic location and I went to another smaller spin off location so I think that was why 😔 Hopefully next time! And thank you so much, Carissa!!! 💞💞💞

I have since talked to my friend and we found out that since I went to the one location not the actual fertility clinic, that’s why the techs there aren’t trained to let you hear the heart beat. But seeing it was wonderful nonetheless of course and I am grateful ❤️❤️❤️
That was so cute seeing the baby on the ultrasound you can buy at home dopplers to listen to heartbeat. The heartbeat was normal for you're gestation, I'm a post partum nurse usually around 8 to 10 weeks they let you hear the heartbeat you look pretty without makeup no need to apologize.

This is completely normal to not hear the heartbeat this early and just measure it at this point! Congratulations! This was a wonderful ultrasound. 😆💕
I know some people CAN’T hear it at this point but what was sad for me was that I could’ve if she just turned the sound on. I’ve seen LOTS of OB ultrasounds over the last 20yrs and I got pretty good at detecting ones that appear healthy or otherwise. You my dear have a very healthy appearing uterus /lining/and implantation site👌🏼. A Corpus Leteum cyst is also very common with pregnancy’s and in my experience has always been a good indication of healthy pregnancy. Some would argue that they somehow produce hormones that support the pregnancy through the 1st trimester. Also my 1st US with all 4 of my girls was always between 6.1GA - 6.3GA, and they all had 108 for their very 1st heart rate. I’ll use this to make my final guess on baby’s gender 😁👛👚🦄🌸💕💓

I don’t always follow anyone on UA-cam but I am following your journey to Motherhood because I think that you are so brave having gone through cancer and survived and that did not even stop you from wanting to be a mother even if it takes putting your body through all that stress of trying to get pregnant and having a miscarriage; even if it means going through it alone and becoming a single parent by choice. I don’t know anything braver than that and it makes me cry because I am going through infertility as well. I have had a total of 3 miscarriages over the years. I was married before and no children. Now I’m 37 and I really want to have children now but I don’t want to marry anyone to have a baby unless it’s true love and with someone who is truly in love with me so I the choice I’m taking now is to be a single mother by choice or coparent with someone willing to coparent a child with me which I’m sure is difficult to find.
I really admire your strength and your determination. You don’t take no for answer. You don’t sit and wait for things to happen. You research things on your own, you know your rights and you ask those questions. You are proactive on this pregnancy and on top of things. You don’t just leave your chances up to the experts and you shouldn’t. We really have to advocate for ourselves and speak up because we know our body better.
Good luck! Happy pregnancy 🤰 I hope your baby grows healthy, perfect, and strong and you see him/her soon. I’m thinking it’s a girl. But regardless of the gender, the important thing is that it’s healthy.

That heartbeat change is new. I just went for my 8 week ultrasound and they told me the same thing but I also have a 7 month old and I definitely got to hear the heartbeat early with him. I guess some new research happened in the last 14 months.
Maybe! And also I think it depends on the tech too since my friend got to hear hers at that point! And the tech at my 7 week 5 day ultrasound let me hear it!

Ahhh!! I saw the heart beat too! And 108 is great. My son's HR was 109 at that stage and it picks up speed as the weeks pass. The tech didn't sound at all concerned about the subchorionic hematoma so that's also great, positive news. Are you still eating straight beef by the bowl? LOL! Great update Sara!

Hey! I’m catching up on your videos now. You’ve probably figured it out by now but the ultrasound and Doppler can cause damage to the baby. It’s one of the reasons doctors don’t do a lot of them and why they don’t do the Doppler early.

Hi Rina! I didn’t continue dating when I initially started this process. It was super hard to make the decision to go for it until I got diagnosed with endometrial cancer...that honestly made me move forward immediately.
