That umpire that fucked it up, Joyce, he’s actually a really good umpire, so it was pretty sad that a really good umpire made such a bad call.
@@Troutprophet I watched an interview with him. He definitely felt bad and there was nothing he could do about it. Wasn't that back when they didn't have the challenge system? Then it was a reason they added it, or did they just not have a challenge left. I can't really remember.
Doesn't matter what team you are a fan of. I'm a Red Sox fan. If I was an A's fan there at that game, 100% HUGE standing ovation from me after witnessing rare perfection. That is an historical baseball moment.
Perfect game. Embarrassing for the Athletics continue. Thankfully I am Yankees fan. Will be a day to remember whether good or bad team. Athletics owner needs to sell the teM
As a Sox fan, this is still amazing. good for him.
Can the highlights come out please! It’s always so long after the game!
Defense deserves a lot of credit for this one as well. Great job boys!
This was purely ridiculous. A Maddux within a Perfect Game. Yes, it was against Oakland, but even the very worst of teams find ways to at least get hits 99% of the time.
Or a walk. I have seen perfect game changing to no-hitter if there is a 3-2 count late in the game
@@santerikoho1579A random error or passed ball on a strikeout could ruin it too.
In this match, Rizzo did a very important job in the 1st base, stopping that one hit and throwing it to German and getting a out
@@salamisumo2 yep. That's what happened to John Means in his no hitter 2 years ago. The only guy who reached base was on a passed ball.
So happy to have stayed awake for this one
Same and I got the best sleep of my life
One out away from forever is an absolutely *PERFECT* phrase. Congratulations, Domingo, enjoy your perfect game and enjoy being a permanent part of baseball history!
It had been a long time since the last one, but it a AMAZING to finally see a Perfect Game again! Congrats to Germán on such an incredible achievement!!!
He's definitely thanking rizzo for that clutch grab. The A's are pathetic though
First time Ive seen one picture finish a game since a long time... Great job Domingo!!!!
