One never knows: gps system can be encoded again for military reasons, a solar storm can put electronic communications out. That is why we have too keep some old school redundancy.

One other important factor is your attitude towards all your work colleagues, obviously, you are away for long periods so it is important that you are all able to have a friendly environment. You forgot to turn on the fans in fwd bridge console. It will cause computers to wear out prematurely, because there is no AC in that console. I know they are noisy, but when moving in SEA and all the way until after Suez, they have to be on..
