Alzheimers doesn't make her a bad person. She was a crap human being before. She will likely only get worse and frankly, the fact that everyone else who was even kinda close to her want nothing to do with her, so yeah. Not an especially good idea to bother with her.
@DailyRedditStories1208 because, most people don't change, they pretend to,so they can not feel guilt.Even if they do,it doesn't mean we must forgive them.I mean would you forgive a child murderer after 15 years if they say they changed?
Absolutely not. My dad used to abuse me physically, emotionally, and verbally. Even if he has changed by now, the damage is done. In my case, I am justified whether I forgive my father or not.
Anut " Op not good enough for my family" Me " but then you have the nerve to ask for help, what now she's good for you when everyone eles has left, but not then? get over yourself, the truth is you spilt two childen who needed family at that moment all because of your narcissistic attitude and prejudice you threw her away, this is karma, you threw a child that needed love and care, now your family dose the same thing when you need the same thing"
Sister doesn't sound bad but why didn't she reach out? Or maybe she was waiting or OP to reach out? There is animosity being thrown around when clearly it's really just the aunt that's bad.
Wait, so her parents died, but then she told them she didn't want to contact her aunt, and they were fine with that, but rhen they went back to being dead...fake?
I would have gone to see her right away and pretended like nothing ever happened. She may have made some really crappy choices but to leave her completely isolated, alone and loosing her mind is probably even more evil than anything she has ever done. Definitely all AH if this was real.
Not everyone agrees with that, Karma finds a way to pay a visit, plus she was willing to abandon a literal child for her own desires, honestly its not a dick move for not visiting, out yourself in their shoes
Why should a person have to give up their peace and security for a person who abandoned them as a child during a horrible crisis. Can you even imagine how that kind of rejection would have felt? Not only that but the aunt didn't even consult friends or family. She was just going to hand op off to the fucked up foster care/adoption system. Not to mention separating two sisters who could have provided each other with emotional support. Just because you can forgive stuff that happened to you, doesn't give you the right to shame others for doing the opposite. How do we know the aunt won't be abusive to op or try to exploit her?
Wait i just read your comment and what the fuck?? Op is more evil than the aunt??? Did you even watch the video? Her aunt abandoned her after her parents died, deprived her of a relationship with her sibling, and was ready to ship her to the foster care system to be raised by God knows who. She would be isolated, alone, and losing her mind since we know trauma can have effects on your mental health. Even if you were right and op was an asshole. The aunt would still be more cruel.
Please find the Lord. I'm going to tell you right now the heavenly family is nothing like the earthly family. And they will never let you down. So please find the Lord I accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and savior.
Honestly, she made her bed, now she's gotta lie in it. No shame in walking away
So she was throwing a child out because “not perfect to the family”
Now she is the one who is not perfect, karma

Your sister passing on your number was kinda messed up. That wasn't cool.
What the sister did was abuse.
WTF? HOW???????????
I mean, 15 years is a long time... people change, but does that mean we have to forgive?
Nope.

I can't imagine what you're going through, but you seem to be handling it with grace.
Family drama is the worst. Do what feels right for you, not out of guilt.
I feel for you, but also, you're not obligated to help her out. Protect your peace.
Amen
Damn, that's a tough spot to be in. I get why you're conflicted.

It’s so crazy how life comes full circle sometimes. Maybe it's worth hearing her out?
That sounds like karma.
Guess her family isn't so perfect now that they abandoned her now that she's not so perfect. Talk about karma.
If you think it’ll give you closure, maybe visiting once wouldn’t hurt. Just a thought.
chat gpt had a rough childhood
I absolutely LOVE karma
Man the ai just reeks out of this lmao
Go ahead and see her. It is an act of selfless love and a grace.
Maybe it's karma, maybe it's Maybelline

She was talking about her adopted parents
