Great list Bryce, here would be my 10 favorite sophomore thrash metal albums: (Honorable Mentions: Anthrax - Spreading the Disease, Overkill - Taking Over, Sepultura - Schizophrenia, Destruction - Eternal Devastation, Voivod - Rrroooaaarrr) 10. Annihilator - Never, Neverland 9. Metallica - Ride the Lightning 8. Flotsam and Jetsam - No Place for Disgrace 7. Death Angel - Frolic Through the Park 6. Megadeth - Peace Sells... but Who's Buying? 5. Slayer - Hell Awaits 4. Demolition Hammer - Epidemic of Violence 3. Dark Angel - Darkness Descends 2. Testament - The New Order 1. Kreator - Pleasure to Kill
For a long time I would get " third floor" stuck in my head, from " Frolic through the park" I worked on the third floor, where I work, for about a year. 🍻
Voivod-Roooaaaaaarrrrrr Metallica-Ride the Lightning Sodom-Persecution Mania Kreator-Pleasure to Kill Megadeth-Peace Sells….. but who’s Buying? Heathen-Victims of Deception Razor-Evil Invaders Skeletonwitch-Beyond the Permafrost Testament-The New Order Anthrax-Spreading the Disease
Ride the Lightning and Peace Sells are my two favorite records of all time respectively so they're no-brainers but of course there are a TON of others. Glad to see another thrash video!🤘
Can’t argue that #1 , best thrash album of all time !! Your right about it being a shame that people only know Flotsam & Jetsam because it’s Jason Newsted’s first band , they are sooooo much more , No Place For Disgrace is a thrashterpiece ! Or if people haven’t checked out their new album Blood In The Water they should , it’s will easily make my Top 5 for 2021 ! Great video as always Bryce 🤘 you know your Metal !
Glad to see Schizophrenia as an honorable mention. I feel like that one is the most criminally overlooked album in their discography and deserves just as much recognition as the likes of Beneath the Remains, Arise and Chaos AD. Victims of Deception by Heathen is a great inclusion, glad to see that one on there along with the likes of Annihilator, Overkill, Megadeth, Metallica and Slayer. Here's a few of mine that aren't on the list. Kreator - Pleasure to Kill Sadus - Swallowed in Black Dark Angel - Darkness Descends Razor - Evil Invaders Coroner - Punishment for Decadence Sacred Reich - The American Way Artillery - Terror Squad and Hellripper - The Affair of the Poisons as my modern pick. (Maybe not 100% thrash, but still feel like it deserves a mention)
Some very good picks for sure. Death Angel are great. I saw them live a couple of years ago, and that show remains one of my favorite concerts. Heathen are amazing too. I still need to check out Paradox... heard so many god things about them.
Frolic through the Park is my favourite Thrash album and is super underrated. I’ve always been thinking No Place for the Disgrace is superior to the first Flostam and Jetsam too, and the Iced Earth first album is just killer with Jon Schaffer just phenomenal here. Great choices
Nice list as usual, here's my top 5... 5. Pleasure to Kill - Kreator 4. Black Metal - Venom 3. Night of the Stormrider - Iced Earth (idk if I'd call this album thrash metal but I'll include it since u did I guess) 2. Darkness Descends - Dark Angel 1. Hell Awaits - Slayer (My fav thrash album)
Awesome list. Still need to get Paradox's Heresy. Too hard to find. Have you checked out their latest album? It's one of 2021's best releases 🤘. Great video as always.
The second I started watching this video, I already knew Peace Sells would make the number 1 spot. Great classic album, I've always loved it. Also, thanks for mentioning the new album by Flotsam and Jetsam in the video, I've been looking for more 2021 albums to listen to. Keep up the great content, Bryce.
Nice concept for a list, I always enjoy your videos...although: If I was betting on your No One, I would have won. Anyway: I only missed Testament's New Order (you had as an honorable mention) on the List, and maybe Kreator's Pleasure to Kill. Keep going!
Jon Schaffer Is A Rhythm Guitar Machine However I Wouldn’t Rate Him As The Greatest Rhythm Guitarist Of All Time That Spot Goes To James Hetfield No Question About It But Jon Is Definitely One Of My Favourite Rhythm Guitarists
1. Ride the Lightning Metallica 2. Peace Sells But Who's Buying? Megadeth 3. Persecution Mania Sodom 4. Pleasure to Kill Kreator 5. Schizophrenia Sepultura 6. The New Order Testament 7. @@derekthompson8340 Technically that’s true but they were a completely different band before Cowboys which was their first major label release. But good point and thanks.

Kreator - Pleasure to Kill
Sadus - Swallowed in Black
Dark Angel - Darkness Descends
Razor - Evil Invaders
Coroner - Punishment for Decadence
Sacred Reich - The American Way
Artillery - Terror Squad
and Hellripper - The Affair of the Poisons as my modern pick. (Maybe not 100% thrash, but still feel like it deserves a mention)
Taking Over is a KILLER record.
Toxik Think This is a underrated gem. I would put that in my list of greatest gems in metal haha. Glad you told me about them awhile back Bryce
Love your videos and look forward to them. Your wisdom for a young guy blows me away and I often buy CD's from your recomondations

Evil Invaders - Feed Me Violence, a very underrated modern band
Love the list great albums
thrash and black metal will forever be the best metal genres 🤘🤘
How about Vektor - Outer Isolation?
Nightmare Logic
thoughts on the new trivium album?
If you like early Sepultura then give Mortal Visions album released this year : Mind Manipulation
You should check out Cathartic Demise. They remind me a lot of Evolution of Chaos era Heathen. Their album this year called In Absence is excellent.

Shores of Sin \m/
A shame Punishment for Decadence didn't make it. Great list though!
Mortal Sin - Face of Despair was A1, I agree that F&J album is good. Check out the bands Num Skull, Gammacide & Morbid Saint..
I know em… had Num Skull’s debut Ritually Abused on my top 50 Thrash Albums list
@@brycetalksmetal Yeah cool, I think I recall that now. I have all of Mortal Sin's albums & Ritually Abused on CD
Megadeth at 1!! (As it should be...)
Vulgar Display of Power probably deserves to be here. Thanks
VDoP is not their sophomore album.
@@derekthompson8340 Technically that’s true but they were a completely different band before Cowboys which was their first major label release. But good point and thanks.
