      You can not afford rent here I'm sure. Unless your a 2 big income family. A 2 bedroom apartment if you can even find will cost you 2000 to 4000. In downtown. Surrey is around 1200 to 2000 a suite. All areas of lower mainland are expensive rents. Welcome to hongkoover aka vancover. BC. Bring cash is why it's BC

    MARK .. nice video.
    I am a US and Canadian citizen that never lived in Canada, will let you figure out how I DID THAT !
    Have visited Vancouver several times from downtown to New Westminster- ex Merchant mariner
    My Brasilian wife is also a US citizen, we would like to try living there for say 6 months, to see if ;
    She can get her perm visa for Canada quickly
    If I can find an aviation related / mechanic position. Know Abbotsford has some aviation jobs, imagine downtown does too with the float planes, can do mechanical / electrical manufacturing too
    And if we can both find decent work
    Depends a little on how long it takes for her to get her perm visa
    New Westminster to Abbotsford look like the best places for manufacturing and aviation jobs, maybe live in Maple Ridge ?
    thanks, GUY

      If cost is an issue as it is for most Families in Canada, or families moving to Canada, you will have lots of options in the surrounding area.
      I live in Port Moody and love it here as you still have the ocean nearby and can drive downtown in about 30 - 35 minutes.

    Most things about a good Canada are not true, Including clean cities - beaches, and forests. It's a big lie. The first time I arrived in Vancouver in 2018, I was shocked. As soon as I left the airport door, I saw tissue, disposable glasses, and other garbage left in the city. The further I went, the more I saw them. Before I moved to Canada, I lived in Georgia, Armenia, Turkey, Serbia, The United States, and for a short time in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Netherland, Germany, and England, but I have never seen the amount of garbage that people leave in different Canadian cities. Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and Quebec are no less than Vancouver. I'm so sorry for Canada. Canadian and Canadian Governments don't care about this tragedy. I think everything that says about Canada as a clean and powerful culture is not true. You don't need to travel to Canada to see this. Just watch some videos about walking in downtown Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and Quebec. You will find the truth. Impossible for you to walk in a Canadian city and you don't see the dark side of that. Everywhere you will see garbage. You will never see this in Europe or the United States. This amount of waste is not even seen in Malaysian-Indonesian or Thailand cities. It is impossible for you to use public transport and not see a lot of garbage at stations or on the route. You will be surprised to find a lot of garbage even in the woods - by the rivers and on the beach.

      @@CoquitlamRealtor Actually, you showed the correct map for the CITY of North Vancouver, which is quite compact, stretching along the waterfront from about Capilano Mall to about where the Park and Tillford Gardens used to be, then zig-zagging north to approximately just above the Highway, the middle of Queen’s Blvd is actually the border.
      Everything else is in the much larger DISTRICT of North Vancouver, which includes ski hills Grouse and Seymour, Deep Cove, Edgemont Village, Cates Park, and extends west to about the Capilano River. The District and the City of North Vancouver are completely separate municipalities with their own City Halls, Fire Department and library systems. They share Police, Recreation and Culture, and the School District.
      It used to be one District until they had a fight in 1907, and never quite kissed and made up. The city is about 44,000, and the District is about twice that size at 88,000. Many residents on the North Shore don’t know whether they live in the City or the District, so you’re given a free pass regarding the map confusion.
