Great Video, and accurate. Before retiring, I used to do Medical Locums in most of these towns, Nelson, and Fernie were favorites. Now I live in Gibsons, you walked past my boat, and past Annete's flower barges, she lives aboard.
I've lived primarily in BC since 72, it is like no where I've ever been. The one thing they don't tell you before you come is, BC stands for Bring Cash and lots of it. Things are not cheap. Having said that, it truly is Beautiful British Columbia.
All the places you did are the most expensive of all the small towns in BC , Nelson,Fernie and Invermere being the most of the most expensive. Bring lots of money you are going to need it to buy any home and if you are looking to rent forget it, .03 percent available , rent as high as Vancouver . No industry so low paying jobs high taxes as a result. Most jobs are tourist type . Unless you are a doctor or some high paid work at home person these are not the places for you. There are better choices , but if you like living poor well those are the places for you. Now if you are old and retired with lots of money you might consider these places, but if you need a doctor , forget it.
I’m looking to move closer I’m in Banff can you recommend me an area,? 1 Horse owner, need some land love farmers and need to be near a doctor I’m divorcing and battling breast cancer
@@Smsc19 If you are looking to move, in BC Salmo might be a choice. if not BC then Saskatchewan. Other places in BC would be the towns between Prince George and Prince Rupert. You mentioned you wanted to move closer , but closer to where?
I was looking for great places to live, these places are the most expensive unattainable for most. Lived in Fernie most of my life unaffordable had to move…ridiculous choices unless millionaire
If I want something good then you have a pay for it. A good steak, bottle of wine or even a good pair of jeans. It’s the same thing in B.C. The video title doesn’t say the cheapest places to live in B.C. You want to play you have to pay.
try traveling ........Born raise in BC.....now 70 yrs old.....BC is just average in natural views...lots of places are way more beautiful ....our mountain views simply boring..!!
These small towns have all the same problems; high property taxes, eye watering house prices and lack of health care. Oh and forest fires. Don’t bother.
great point. You can go a month or two with breathing in nothing but soot and smoke from the fires. It can ruin an entire summer. Funny how they never mention it. Not to mention the small minded people who live there
Lots of towns in the Kootenay region. They are beautiful. You could add a few on Vancouver Island as well. If you can't afford B.C. , Alberta has some great options.
Inverter and Revelstoke, yup. The rest, not likely unless you bring tons of cash. There are hundreds of much better places than these to live in. 1.5 out of 10 for this vid. Very misleading.

Yeah I live in ucluelet and it's super high cost even the cheapest places in town are over a 2000 for rent or over a million for buying
Loved living in Kimberley, our sons are from there!
Nelson has gone to hell with increased traffic but no supporting infrastructure, bikers, druggies, and overpriced housing builds for the wealthy.
BC Bring cash!
The one (and last) time we visited Nelson, BC we were told we couldn't walk our dogs down the street (on a leash). Enough said, we left ASAP.

Go live your rat race in the city and do nothing with your life lol
Live 50 miles from Nelson. Live 5 minutes drive from regional hospital.
Ah Soy youss... yer robot AI mangled Os
So artificial and poorly made, sadly. I was hoping for useful information for visiting the Okanagan and all I got was unedited AI dreck.
Ossy-use.
No offense but I'm looking to get away from people... must be the damage from living in u.s. for too long
Boring!
Sorry you are Boring . Stay strong some out there will like you
These small towns are boring. This is why everyone are drug addicts, alcoholics, or swingers.
