So I’ve read mixed things about placing the herbal blends in the sun vs in a dark place. I usually do place mixed blends in my kitchen cabinet but after doing some researching solar infusion I saw a lot of people placing it in the sun for faster + better absorption but I see a lot of people also saying it does the opposite effect- so I’m not sure what’s best!!! Let me know in the comments please 🙏🏽
I normally leave my herbal oil mix in a dark place (wardrobe) because light increases the rate of photooxidation, which causes the oil to become rancid. Another tip to slow down degradation of chemical components in oils is to store it in a cool place and in a dark coloured (green, brown) container. When I do this, my oils can last for months without it going off. Hope this helps
The warmth from the sun can help infuse the herbs in the oil better. Just don’t leave it in the sun for more than 3 hours. After the infusion keep it in a cool dark place to store it for longevity and retention of the ‘nutrients’ in the oil+herb mixture.
Another way to prolong the oils is to add vitamin E. I add it to all my oils to prolong the shelf life since I buy my oils in bulk. Vitamin E isn’t a preservative but it does prevent carrier oils from going rancid quickly.

Get it sis!!!!! Placing the oils in a dark cool place, is almost like cold brew coffee! The amount of nutrients and absorbtion is so much better, because there is no heat from the sun. Whether it’s the sun or boiling water, any type of heat source will destroy the full quality of the oil!

Cupuacu butter is my jam! Love it. Have you heard of murumuru butter? Also an easily absorbent but thick butter thats great for coily hair and eumelanin skin.
I've been infusing the herbs with olive oil and avocado oil with a bit of peppermint oil and lavender oil and some black castor oil. Its been sitting for about a week now
I love how creamy you got the mixture. I have been doing my own body butters for about 3 yrs now. I never get that fluffy lol especially over time. So ill give this a try and make towards skin care

It’s actually better to warm the oil & herb mixture up together. for a better and stronger infusing. It’s the same process used when infusing cannabis into oil and butter. Don’t get me wrong, you got SOME of the goodness but dried herbs are best used when placed inside an oil or butter or oil otherwise you’re just getting the color and very little nutrient.

Thank you for letting us know about these different butters now I'm going to try these butters because my hair is fine as well and heavy butters and leave in conditioners would just sit in my hair and flake so thank you for this.
All essentials used ARE good for hair and scalp as well as the powder does NOT help with length it helps with MOISTURE locking. Also you definitely CAN add the oil and it DOESNT take the nutrients away at all.
Rice water is good for giving hair protein therefore more strength although too much protein can also cause breakage the even amount of moisture and protein is key

Great video. Thanks. I have all these ingredients and more. I will be making a fresh batch of oil this weekend. For all those looking to grow your hair or are struggling to retain length, don't give up! Please research ingredients, and/or speak to your doctor as well as listen to your body to get the best results. I started following a lot of UA-camrs using and making Ayurvedic oils and butters since July 2020 to help with my issues. I've tried all sorts of combinations and use it on my own natural hair. I also have my mom using it as well. We both suffer with thyroid issues and definitely my oils and butters have helped decrease the hair shedding and helped in keeping growth while making the hair stronger. I also take vitamins, drink water, try to eat healthy, exercise a bit and keep stress down. These factors help me keep my growth. With that said, I wish you all the best on your growth/retention hair journey.
