It is definitely NOT Ginger :)… GINGER white… Turmeric yellow… They are both roots…. Hence it looks wavy. He is saying “We auspiciously start with Turmeric” when he shows turmeric. they always start with turmeric root in the video and make a paste out of it..
I have seen another vegetarian variant of this.. okra with besan (chickpea flour), and it is absolutely amazing. The extra protein gives more fullness/heaviness to the dish.
Rick watch the video please, kindly stop looking at phone while reacting. A reactor gives attention to the video screen and not cell. Any doubt or query can be looked up online later as well.
My guess is that names such as "LadyFinger", "Brinjal", etc., were originally British-era names (I don't think Indians would invent English names). Over the decades, the names changed in the UK and the West, whereas we in India always stuck with the British-era names. e.g. LadyFinger = Okra Brinjal = Eggplant/Aubergine
That's not ginger.. that's turmeric that he is grinding.. and since turmeric is considered as something auspicious, he says that he is starting with turmeric while grinding the various masala..
If you guys are willing to - please come to Tamilnadu, India and meet them..Join them in their Cooking ( we love to see you cook with them and serve the old age home inmates )😍🙏🏻
Okra and lady finger is same... Both are names for the same plant bearing the two scientific names. “Okra” is used in the United States and the Philippines while “lady finger” is used as an English name outside those mentioned countries.
Fun fact: Aditya Chopra director of DDLJ wanted to cast a foreign actor (may be Tom cruise not sure though) for Raj role but later thought it will not go well with Indian audience then he asked Saif ali khan but he rejected this movie. Even Srk rejected DDLJ because he didn't want to do any romantic movie that was not his style back then but Yash Chopra convinced SRK saying you are not an actor unless you do a romantic movie. Srk agreed to do DDLJ.
"😂😂😂Lady's finger" is the alternate name for Okra (the modern name) for the same vegetable (one of the most popular vegetables worldwide). "Lady's finger" - the older name for this vegetable in English speaking countries still retained today (but now called Okra) can be easily mixed with any type of curry or protein like seafood or meat and is often a favorite worldwide. Tasty, healthy and easy to cook - that's "Lady Finger" aka Okra for y'all.
For a family 2 spoon of oil, 1/2spoon mustard, One full chopped 🧅onion, two medium spice🌶 green chilies, One 🍅tomato Required salt 1/4 tease spoon (one 🤏pinch) of turmeric powder, 1/2 spoon chilli powder, Two 🥚eggs, Then chopped okera 300 grams (Ladies finger), Grind 🥥cocont is optional, egg also optional, then the cooking process is similar in the videos, try it, and post your views also🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
Aborted chickens 😅😅 that got me😂😂..no offence but I don't like the south Indian style okra fry 🤫 I had it in Kerala! In our style we just put some oil, onion, chilli, the okras, fry in low flame.. then just some salt, turmeric powder, and some lemon juice.. the okras should taste a bit tangy 😋😋yummmsy!!!
What other videos should we react to?

Sorry for being that one guy,but those ain't roots, they are rhizomes (stem) 😬
@@japsharansingh1424 Sure. You are technically correct. They are underground stems!
👍
Korbin trying to make Rick watch the video and not the phone was so relatable. Looked like he was gonna lose his cool any second now. 😀
That boiling up anger though 😝
I am surprised that Korbin likes Okra! I thought he would be weirded out by the texture and slime...
"that's ginger" said he, with confidence.
