A humble observation ( I may have some limited perception) -Kannadigas learn about Maharashtra faster than Maharashtrians about Karnataka. We belong to a lineage of kannada speaking Madhvas . We settled in Mumbai around eight decades ago.Fortunately , with Hari Iccha, we have preserved whatever we could claim as heritage. I heard about the legends of Purandara Dasa from my esteemed mother when I was a small kid. A humble observation ( I may have some limited perception) -Kannadigas learn about Maharashtra faster than Maharashtrians about Karnataka. Maharashtrians land up reverse plagiarizing about Maharashtra as though it existed from eons. Given this background, your interest in Purandara Dasa and the endeavour to learn the nuances of kannada pronunciation to do full justice obviously is through the blessings of Saint Purandara Dasa.
