We figured out after the game we played it completely wrong sorry everyone
oh well, it was fun to watch anyway.
Even so, congrats on the win!
Its all good, the videos are fun anyways
Glad to see Lewis explains board games just as well as I do XD
Unfortunately I understood every word of it, all of his instructions have made sense to me. Broad strokes, generalizing, I like that he doesn't talk about the boring bits. His crazy rambling is similar to my own, lunitics can understand there own kind.
@@theodoreroosevelt1168 While I agree with broad strokes when explaining a game for the first time and then getting into more detail later, Lewis tends to just ramble things off in no particular order, dip into details when they occur to him, omit significant information (I once heard him explain a game without ever explaining what the goal of the game was), all while making the most mangled sentences ever. He does the same thing when he's trying to give orders in Minecraft or TTT or w/e. Except in those cases he usually gets pissed when someone doesn't understand "Come here, come, th- the thing!".
My brother does the same thing, but he thinks he's really good at explaining things. Lewis, at least, seems to be aware that his explanations often don't make sense. I love Lewis, I really do, and I don't want this to be construed as me hating on him. I'm not, but I AM saying he is TERRIBLE at explaining things. I think he just gets really flustered talking to people in such a one-sided manner.
I think it's because he knows he needs to be entertaining as well as telling them how to play, because not many people will stick around to watch them solely learning the rules without playing the game
@@ninjafahita he actually does a pretty good job. However like me, we don't really get the others around to understand. And we also forget small rules like turn order
Love these board game vods. It's great to seeing the variety out there with you guys. Great content. Thanks!
Rythian is a rolling argument for games to have various colorblind options, even if it just changes what his client sees.
26:20 ok ok ok people are getting confused. The cards of say the Eagle Empire or whatever, aren't any given player's cards, since any player can place and perform actions in any Empire if that's where the player has placed their token(s.)
I think people are mistaking the Empire that happens to be closest to their player area as "theirs."
Clearly this is some master plan form little finger
A Brown faction on a brown board. Come on game designers, you're better than this. LOL.
Oh, wow. I didn't even notice them until you said something. Yeah...that's a REALLY bad color choice. You don't use Brown until you've got at LEAST six other colors in use. Even then you still have black and white.
Right, at first I didn't even notice the brown faction, I was just like, "Cool, there's some unexplored country on the edge there."
Wow it really wanted Lewis to favor red
Can't wait for the next game.
The fact that a faction was wiped out makes me think they were playing horribly wrong?
Yes horribly so that it made me winch
This has become one of our favorites!
I appreciate Daltos's willingness to tell chat to fuck off when they deserve it but everyone else is too distracted or polite to do so.
Brown is a terrible colour pick for this game, could have at least put them in snow lands so I can actually see their stuff
Noo, you are not supposed to take both actions on a spot but choose one :'D
That sounds wrong, because then what's the point of the moving away on Chancellor? You can either: Attack someone and take all actions for that empire unless someone stops you; or move to a different position, when you could have just placed your agent there from the beginning and skip the middle man.
@@rachelsullivan8585 "During an empire’s turn, each council position in that empire’s council will take one available action determined by the player who controls it."
They use the Chancellor wrong too. You arent supposed to attack and switch, you either attack or switch and take the action of the position you switched to.
Instead of drawing cards for every two villages they drew for every village :'D
Green & red is my favorite colors.
Lewis just started wildly and carelessly cheating toward the end.
Love armchair admirals!!!!!!!!!
Came here for the thumbnail
Pretty sure you can only take one of the actions for any given council position, no?
Loving Daltos loving this game
More please
Great video
lewis isn’t gonna invite daltos to the next games night stream
Didn't know you were involved in the planning for them. Out of curiosity who is invited and what are they playing?
@@IamtheTolle I feel like it MIGHT be a joke
man poor Rythian. Being colored blind in a game of a color of his colorblindness that sucks.
LEWIS is such a BOOMER
Not following the rules about banners.....
I'm asleep now
