That bass is all over the place; and oh, those strings. Wouldn't be disco without the strings (heavenly). And that 4 on the floor beat to hell. I liked the 80's, but I hated it really when they threw away the strings from the 70's; could've kept those and worked them in.
@@armandopina8529 I was 17 & dancing manically around the living room to this wonderful happy tune. I've certainly got the positive disco spirit in me of fun & dancing even though I'm 62 now. i can still have a boogie!!
@@SPAZZOID100 I know; but if they put up with them for 2 or more decades (60's and 70's), then they could have made them a smaller section (quartets, duets, etc.), to reduce the cost. I'm a Musician and Composer, and I have to have those "string" sounds in my compositions; have to.
This was the last vinyl my uncle and me listened last year. He passed away on January 3, 2020 and every time that I hear this song I feel that both of us are enjoying this awesome song.
I was 17 & thought I'd died & gone to heaven in '77 when I found this disco gem in my local record shop. Dancing around the living room turned up loud.....when the folks were out of course! ....LOL

This a freaking disco masterpiece, plain and simple. Amazon has the 15:00 minute version!! This went directly into my workout playlist. This will burn some fat for sure!!!!
It is a masterpiece, first heard it in the basement men’s shop at Macy’s in n y called “Action Down Under” during the incredible late 70s in that city. And by the way, as to the disparagement of men’s fashion from that era, when done right (most guys didn’t) it could look fantastic.
It is undoubtedly a wonderful & brilliant Disco Classic, but it was totally of it's time bf0189. It was forward thinking in its approach to what you could do with a track's development.
First heard this at Macy’s in New York in their basement young men’s department called “Action Down Under.” 1977-1978(?). Best shopping experience listening to this and looking at the band collared shirts and items by Pierre Cardin Relax, Britannia sportswear, and Cacharel. And branches of Unique Clothing Wearhouse and Fiorucci.
Takes me back to the energy and style of mid-late 70s urban living, as opposed to sheltered suburban kids with their kind of tired rock n’roll - disco at its best was absolutely associated with the city and its street and club scenes.
I was in SF walking past a record shop playing this & I asked who it was. I already had the album but I was only listening to the medley side. "Oh, ok. Thanks."
This is not an extended version, it is THE FULL ORIGINAL ALBUM VERSION. An extended version would be something longer than the album version. You should of said FULL ORIGINAL VERSION not extended.
This jam has to be blasted real loud
Disco for ever

This has orchestra and synthesizer. Such a great fusion. This music played loud takes you into suspended animation. No time exists, no pain. Lol

String sections were very expensive.

The 🎶 of this amazing disco funk classic is a 4ever experience that it never leaves your soul once you've brought it to the dance floor 💃🏽💥🕺🏾🎊♾️

My favorite cousin and her boyfriend snuck me into a disco when I was 16. That’s when I heard that whistle and this incredible baseline! 🔥
