Just want to say thanks very much for many of your old videos, I acquired a 1999 yang eagle cnc mill and 1983 ikegai cnc lathe over the last year and your videos have been entertaining and invaluable in learning the old fanuc controls and various things involved in figuring out and running older cnc equipment. amazing to see how you have gone from the basement shop to your current premises in only a couple of years - it's really awesome. hope you still have time to listen to some metal and 90s pop during your busy days.wish you a cozy winter in the new heated shop , best regards from the sunny south pacific

Congratulations on the 10k mark! You do some very cool stuff there, even if you can't show all the product due to customer security concerns. I haven't been watching from your first videos but have been following you for the last 2-1/2 years and it's been cool to watch your chop and business change and grow. Thanks for sharing and including us every now and then when you have the time.

I think the first video of yours I saw was in an old shed with holes in the side, sweeping snow off a small lathe and rebuilding it in freezing conditions. I’m glad you are warm now!

Congrats on getting to the 10K mark on subs! I appreciate that you watch even if you don't comment. Lots of fun big jobs going in my shop now. The Monarch is nice but honestly I think the Big HBM is my favorite to run. Going to watch part2 now. :-)

Slow startup times are par for the course with PC-based controls like the Sinumerik 800 series. It mainly has to do with the time it takes to do the initialization of the back-end control and operating system sanity checks.

Thanks for the update. It would be interesting and cool as a sideline/fun/perhaps lucrative project if at some point you could make a tool or accessory to sell. You have the know how, the machines, and most importantly you have the understanding of quality. :)

Have you looked at Horn lathe tooling or are they too expensive? They make very nice micro tooling.
I'd like to see the compressed air plant.

That is supercool shop, thanks for sharing!
I looked into the Taegu brand and talked with one local reseller. He said that Taegu is basically a spinoff/daughter company of Iscar, tailored for Asian market. Products are pretty much the same, or close. Same for prices. Have you compared Iscar prices to Taegu? Who are local-ish resellers for Zccct, if any?

Yes I am an American but years ago we were "SKOGSFINNAR" (Varmland) we left Finland around 1740 and left Sweden in the 1880's (when Lutherans come WE RUN)
Also did you know that JOHN MORTON (Declaration of Independence signer) was of Finnish blood also ??
It is now thought that the American LOG CABIN design was brought here by the Finns !!
