For the first few minutes I thought you really bought a washing machine! However I got half guess right since I said lathe + bar feeder, but you exceeded my expectations with the live tooling and Y axis! Very nice machine, you will have fun with a brand new metal shredder for the first time.
I think it really is a good choice, helps a ton..! Have you tried running your Cincinnati cnc mill yet? Looking forward to more on that machine! Not that your other machines are bad either, love the huge Monarch!!
Good move going with the Siemens 828. A Very Good Controller, a very good choice. The Doosan Lathes are a good choice and not overpriced for what you get. You pretty much got every option available for this machine. The only down side is you will learn to hate the other machines in your shop after you use this one. I hope everything goes well for you in your shop, as i do not need to remind you that these machines are Not cheap to buy. All the Best for the future. Peter.
I don't know about their Y-axis lathes but their regular slant-bed lathes are very good in my experience. The Siemens control runs Windows Embedded and has numerous language options for macros, from Siemens' own STEP7 language to C/C++, Fortran or even Visual Basic. I have heard of people writing complete machining programs in Visual Basic.
Interesting.. Sadly I have no experience in programming almost anything but G-code..! I have lots of interest for programming though. I want to learn more.
How do you manage to find such amazing deals on used lathes ? Here in the tool dessert of the United States I can't find anything and I really need to find a smaller but heavy lathe. Something in the 1660 range probably about 5000 to 7000 pounds 7 1/2 to 10 hp or 7.5 kw or there abouts. Enjoy your new machine!
Nice new machine . The other lathe you bought Stanko or Ryazan ? i nearly bought one of these but the spindle bore was small & no thread dial on the carriage . Cheers Mate .
A mazak 250 II MSY would have been the best to get but they are quite a bit more expensive, we have alot of mazaks and a few doosans, the mazaks are indestructible and fast to program with the conversational control but theses doosans hold there own aswell
Yes, true! Sure there are other lathes more expensive and better than Doosan's. I found this one to suit me best. They all share pretty much the same features though.
@@sunppaa yes let us know how you get on, I've heard shop turn is pretty good, hope it all works out for you, a lathe with Y axis will hopefully bring you in some big bucks

@@sunppaa well yeah, i use daily but you need to be careful sometimes. one good thing is that u can store zero points inside program. at least some versions of sinumerik..
What a great machine, you have got to we would think be proud.
Thank you, Lance & Patrick.
Thanks!!
I gotta say I am loving your channel as of late. I hope I can start making cool videos when my new machine comes in too
Congrats ! You will have some serious fun with it. Enjoy.
You're going to love that lathe, I have the Lynx version of it and I love it.

Your hard work is serving you well
Awesome machine. Congrats
Wow... looks a real beauty. Also looks complicated to me but I'm sure you will find it easy. Congratulations buddy 👏🏻👍
I second that.
A beauty it is :-)! Pretty complicated as well...
You have got yourself a good machine and it will open new opportunities and will allow you to expand your business and job scope. Good luck
Thanks!!
Well done Sir, I'm happy and excited for you. The controller will serve you well, I think it was a wise choice. Consider me envious!
Very nice, I look forward to seeing the first project you run on this "Monster".
I can't wait either :-)!
Sunpaa, next move has to be a robot
Very nice machine. If I ever make the jump I want a live tooled Cnc lathe.

great to see an update from you,...good luck with the new machine
Thanks!
That looks like a very nice machine. I would like a small cnc lathe but I don't know if I could turn it on Thanks for the video
Don't be afraid of cnc like they say at Haas! You will love a Haas toolroom cnc lathe to start with! Pretty cheap as well.
nice! congratulations on the new machine!

congratulation on the maschine. U made a good choice with the simens control :)
Totally agree. I had a demonstration of both the Haidenhain and the Siemens and the Siemens was much more intuitive.
I hope so!
@@Panzax1 The Siemens 828 Shop Mill controller is a excellent choice.

congratulations! Shopturn from Siemens is very capable programming tool. I think you will like it.
😁😁😁 didn't know the brand.. I love simens in my lathe. I'll hav to come play with it 🤣🤣🤣
Nice machine! What sort of coolant pump does it have ? Kw/Bar ? Looks pretty big for a standard pump.
Looks like the standard one it's 13,5 Bar the other pump is for the coolant next to the sub and for the pusher rod.
@@FPVSquad Thank you ! Pretty good pressure for a standard pump. Any idea of the brand/model of the main pump ?
I will show the pump in the next vid!

Looks like ordinary Stanko 1K62. Nice machine, but very common
Yes, but it's a 1K625, has a bit more centre height than a 1K62.
Stanko! It has a bit over 2" spindle bore. No thread dial needed on a metric machine :-)!
@@sunppaa Nice lathes , if i was ever after another larger lathe , stanko or ryazan would be at the top of the list !
Very excited for you!
U Voice and english Spelling is like Finnair flight captain :D
Is the Dainichi giving you any more trouble?
The Dainichi has been working great :-). It's just slow to set up and old as earth... We still use it almost daily!
fuck yah buddy!! enjoy! I now you will put it to work!
NICE +$100,000k LATHE

I thought it was gonna be a dishwasher :(
That's what I was thinking the whole time he was talking about it although not sure if it was a dishwasher or clothes washing machine.

If you use sandvik Capto C5 on the late , tell me, I have a lot of tooling . New and use .
I'm highly considering the Capto system! Very interested if you have C5 tools for sale!
