James Brown Dies at the Age of 73 on Christmas Morning. But he is just part of a bigger story, the changing of the guard, the black icons/leadership/pioneers that we have been losing at a rapid pace, must be replaced by you, the future. We are personally sad, because James Brown blessed us with this interview early in BlackTree Media's career, and it put us on a stage that we have grown tremendously from. We owe a lot to JB. In this clip you will see James Brown performing with the King of Pop, Michael Jackson at the 2003 BET Awards in Los Angeles. This marks the first time we covered the BET Awards, and it is our first major interview with a Big Celebrity, what better way to start then with James Brown and Michael Jackson. The performance video is courtesy of BET, the interview is a BlackTree Exclusive. Enjoy, and we thank you.

Michael Jackson was in deep legal shit after 2001 and even after he was vindicated he became a recluse and made it known he wants nothing to do with music anymore . Which is why it was such a big suprise for fans when he announced this is it. Ofocurse it was only to pay his 300 million dollar debt

It's so not fair that we won't get to have Michael and Prince for as long as they got to have James.

It isn't fair. 50 is young dude. You don't realize it at first, but the older you get you think "Damn. That's a short life".

Love And peace I think he meant that when Michael was on stage, he was fearless, fierce and bold, but when he was out the stage, he was more quiet, shy and more reserved. Which he really was.
