i am hollerin' I say that God has to let me live forever because at this point, that's how long it's gonna take me to use all my fabric!!! Despite my best efforts i keep buy more Roflol. So you definitely are not alone!
HAHAHA! So you agree?
Omg I absolutely agree!!!!! You are in great company cause I have a feeling that most of us hoard fabric unintentionally roflol
Beautiful Fabrics! I especially love that army green and white polkadot! I’m also very much attracted to abstract designs as well, and you’ve picked some really beautiful pieces! That includes the pieces you purchased in Paris, all except the Paisley! Lol! Not sure what to do with that piece! 😂😂😂. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful fabric haul!
I hate that the Joann website has changed its yardage quantity. It’s so strange, like I’m sure if someone is making a dress they want 3-4 yards, why on earth would they force us to by 8 yards. Ugh this happened to me last week. I looooooooove all of your new fabrics! They are gorgeous. Fabric shopping around the world must be so fun. The parsley print fabric is gorgeous. Love it. Great Haul!
Thanks! When I book a trip, fabric shopping is always on the agenda. My friends and husband already know to make time. 🤗
The last material screamed boho to me, it would be great for looser, Summer fashion styles and also Summery bohemian home furnishings. Tencel is used a lot in Europe. It is a man made but naturally sourced fiber from eucalyptus. It is considered softer than cotton and gentle on sensitive skin. It has a little stretch and over time will hold this property as well as being durable and long wearing. It is great for Summer as it is breathable and cool. The downside is that it is very delicate in regards to laundering. Low temp hand washing and line drying is ideal and only low temp synthetic setting iron although the material tends to be wrinkle free. It doesn’t suit dry cleaning. Hope that helps!
I ❤ all your beautiful fabrics selections 😊, awesome !! Choices sis 👍🏾🙏🏾
You have such a good eye for fabric! I love them all, especially the animal prints! I’m actually going to Fabric Row in Dallas in a couple weeks and I can hardly wait!! Thank you so much for sharing! 😊
I watched your Hobby Lobby pattern haul video first and when I saw your pink and green animal print fabric, I immediately thought of New Look 6718. Since that pattern takes so much yardage, you probably have enough with the two different sized prints and there are so many opportunities to mix around the fabrics with the pieces in that dress. Whatever you decide, I’m sure it will be beautiful. Happy Sewing! 💖
Girl, that last fabric as soon as you brought it out, it said blazer!! All beautiful fabrics.
I love FAMU I can't wait to see what you sew with the abstract orange and green fabric
Hi. I love all of the fabrics!😊
I with you on the fabric stash. Sadly I’m still rather new to sewing. But I keep finding beautiful fabric and I haven’t learned to control myself. Going to Japan in June. I challenged myself to not shop until I get there. Of course I’ve failed. I love your fabric choices.
Thanks. You can do it!
Loving the Petra Fabrics - orange delight!
Yes, the entire fabric district is a vibe!
I have over 2000 yards. I said enough is enough. I'm starting to organize my stash and pair them with patterns. That first fabric from Europe is amazing. I can definitely see it as coat. If you ever decide to get rid of it please let me know. I would pay to get it off you hands. Your fabric chose is amazing. Can't wait to see the matching sets.
I knit and I totally know what you mean about the constant collecting of the materials…..knitters call it SABLE: Stash Acquired Beyond Life Expectancy…….we understand 😂
Loved the abstract from Italy! The Tate Romper… Just a thought.
I love mixing prints, especially when they're the same pattern at a different scale. I think youd love the outcome of mixing it. Maybe in a maxi dress
That's a great idea! Do you have any patterns in mind?
Lol, we’ll be old ppl, still trying to sew down our stashes! I’m in Dallas now for the eclipse, so I may need to go to Fabric row! That FAMU fabric is 🔥🔥🔥!
I hope you had a chance to make it to the fabric stores.
Your fabric choices are fabulous. Is green your favorite color? It’s mines, I noticed you picked up quite a bit of green. I love the last fabric from Europe, I’ll buy it from you, if you want to sell it. I do mostly vintage and I can see that fabric as an amazing border print. I think the fabric you have in two scales would look fabulous in that McCalls pattern you showed. The small print at the top and the larger print at the bottom. Or using both prints in a jumpsuit would be great. Also I see a awesome shirt with wide legged pants also.
Such nice fabrics !! Excited to see how the laptop bag comes out with that beautifullll black leather snake skin !!
Thanks! I will more than likely record it for the channel.
Beautiful fabrics thank you for sharing.
You are so welcome!
Great Haul I missed that bomb fabric at Petras, also I absolutely love the loud fabric from Italy totally my speed.
Fabric swap? It's a woven and I know you love your knits.
I love the fabric selection ❤. I'm also an animal print lover (I call it my neutral 😂)
YASSS! I have to really challenge myself not to navigate to animal print because I have so much.
I'm also a Fashion Designer. We don't have Fabric Row, but we do have Britex of San Francisco, a few blocks from FIDM, where I graduated. Your pink & green paisley would work well for making those Lilly Pulitzer sorority sun dresses, that are so popular there. Or a Vera Bradley type bag. I did learn some very creative hiding places for "hiding fabric stashes from hubby," from some of the old ladies. lol.
Haha, you're gonna have to share this hiding spots!
And thanks for the ideas for the paisley fabrics. It isn't very flowy, but I think a quilted bag could possibly be perfect!
The fabrics are beautiful!
I loved all the fabric, especially the abstract. Some fabric I'm not that into to wear out I make house dresses.
Thanks! That's a good idea.
That paisley would make a very nice pant or skirt suit.
Pretty sure pants suit was my initial mindset when I picked it out, but then I only got 3 yards🤦🏽♀️
Thanks for mwntioning Fabrics Row. I'm always in Dallas and I need to get some fabric out there
You are so welcome! We should meet in Dallas and do some fabric shopping.
HIding your fabric stash spots include, in plastic bins, in the guest room, with a mattress laid on top of it, & made up like a guest bed. In the trunk of your car, Jelly Roll fabrics, for quilters, fit into shoe boxes, disguised as shoes. Hung on a hanger, under a jacket etc...
