    35lbs is a big difference.

      It is. That’s the game you play in the Absolute though. Nobody has to enter, it’s a voluntary add-on. Tim won his Advanced -175 lbs category.

      The big guy is gonna be slower and gas out quicker...
      Smaller guy should be quicker and have more stamina.
      Offset either way by enough gym time - so a difference like is only an excuse really (if you let it be).

      It depends on the weight of both guys, but in this case it's a 20% weight difference from the smaller guy's perspective. And that's a pretty big difference.

      @@ianfleischhacker6154 not the pure advantage everyone makes it out to be though - and is really quite disrespectful to an opponent if you try to make out that's the only reason they won.

    Cant play a loose game like that with a big guy. Im 210 and can pass most welterweights in no gi if theyre not locking up their half guard properly
