Akimoto is younger and faster vs older guy who's rusty from long time no fights and studying in school. First round akimoto win clearly but after that qiu got him figured out. Still due to his ring rust he wasn't able to capitalize enough. I feel if this went on a few more rounds qiu would come out on top. Looking forward to more qiu appearances later in One.
I think if this was a muay thai rules match the outcome would be very different! Would love to see these 2 go full muay thai, but none the less great match clean shots fantastic techniques!
Akimoto was a beast in this fight and took the win with good pressure and a lot of volume, technically very strong in pure kickboxing. Jianliang is a skilled muay thai technician with beautifull sweeps and timing but he seemed to be overwhelmed by the fast-paced kickboxing style of Akimoto
Personally I would have QJL as winner. Aikomoto got the first round, second goes to QJL while the third is a toss up. As pretty as QJL sweeps are, end of the day he is the one covered from top to bottom with welts. So the decision is understandable. I hope to see him fight against Alaverdi. Despite the loss QJL is still a top contender. But please don’t look pass your opponent next time. Shades of Eddie Alvarez here.
The Japanese fighter has all the best kicks, the speed and the punching while his Chinese opponent has the cockiness, the acting tough and being aggressive which didn't help in this fight. We saw his talk before this fight. Hope he had deleted that interview. LOL

Should have been a draw really. The judges didn't see someone fell on the floor so many times, I guess the judges weren't looking at the ring when someone falls.
There was no knockdown, sweeps DON'T give a point in kickboxing rule fights. It amazes me how many people don't know the basic point system in kickboxing.
But the way he checked leg kick and combo ending with kicks definitely MT's signature. I guess he studied MT somewhere before. But not to take anything away from him today his performance is phenomenal.

People who have a good eye for fighting styles, what’s Hiro’s main fighting style now? I know he’s a Kyokushin black belt, but he now trains Muay Thai? (Correct me if I’m wrong) Does he still mainly use Karate or is he transitioning over to Muay Thai?
His style is mainly what people call "Dutch" kickboxing style, since it has origins of kyokushin karate. Mainly known for using the 'High guard', forward pressure-style and heavy boxing combinations ending with a kick. Other fighters with a similar style in ONE would be Marat Grigorian, Nicky Holzken, Regian Eersel, Sadikovich etc.
Im happy to see Qiu on a better fighting organization. The chinese one was making him to be a unbeatable monster by giving him less than world class fighters.

This company is so bad at promoting their fights considering you never find out about them unless the fighters themselves post it on their Instagram accounts. Not only that, they don't even tell you at what time the fight is going to start. This is why well-organized companies like the UFC will always remain on top.

Qiu better kungfu technic was not appreciated. Akimoto was down all the times from finer Qiu leg sweeps but still won the fight. The Japanese was favoured by the judges and Qiu need to know that finer technic alone were not enough in One championship. He needed to get a KO.

邱建良这次速度不如对手,可能是两年没打的缘故,对手腿法极快,而且左右脚都会扫踢!!这点必须非常注意!对手的拳法也不慢,腿法更快,邱建良的左大腿都被踢红了,甚至第三局邱建良有一次看起来腿痛的有点站不稳拾似的!。可以看到日本对手针对邱建良研究和训练了很长时间,针对性极强。邱建良非常厉害的腿法没有发挥出来,所以整场没发挥出水平。邱建良速度也不如以前,看着真揪心!希望阿良恢复训练再比赛时能战胜这个恐怖的日本对手!
